seriously guys get with it I tried to learn mandarin for about a month and gave up around realizing what it means to have 6 tones in a language It's mainly 4 lol. I also tried but quickly switched to Japanese in college after hearing about the 6 tone thing. IMO the hardest part about mandarin is that you have to memorise the characters, as it is not the sum of its parts. Most of the time you are unable to infer what the word means by looking at what the character consist of. It is unlike English where say the word 'belittle' can be inferred to be related to the word 'little'. Tone is like the least of your worries imo haha
...mandarin is literally built on a system where you get the meaning of characters by looking at what parts it is made out of
wut?
I mean you can't exactly understand every character that way but the words are modular. It's at least more modular than english. Tonality is easily the biggest challenge because it's a fundamental difference and different tones give rise to completely different meanings.

Maybe that's why my mandarin isn't strong. But they say you shouldn't 有边读边 for a reason lol

Yeah it doesn't work all the time but there's definitely logic behind the radicals and composition of the characters. It would be pretty awful if you actually had to memorize thousands of unique characters with no real pattern to their construction.
Drow ban this time, so maybe we'll actually have a game

Picking CM 3rd and locking your two supp spots (and not leaving 1 slot open for AA) seems really weird. On top of that CM obviously also does nothing. They have to know about the Huskar possibility.

That is a Pudge in a Na'Vi game that isn't on Na'Vi's side. What is happening.

I've only seen them get dominated by OG and Liquid, I feel like they can potentially take on any of the other teams at TI.

I think there is some kind of mental block as well. I think it was artstyle who said in an interview that they never beat OG or Liquid in practice games either and he seemed pretty depressed about the whole thing.

Actually yea I'd agree that there's meaning to the composition of Mandarin characters. I mixed up. What makes no sense is how you pronounce the characters. You can come up with a sophisticated English word and still be able to pronounce it. But it is strange why 水 is shui, 冰 is bing etc.
