Its horrendous at times and just brilliant at others. So they really are the Chinese version of Empire.

not having a chuan cast is a travesty honestly

I checked their shop, they barely sold anything, I doubt it was very profitable to design all those shirts etc. It became really hard for organisations to get some backers now that people are saving their dota 2 funds for majors compendium besides TI.

Sunsfan mentioned that the market is really about particle effects these days, so it's really hard for any tournament to really sell much. Plus, well, the workshop is still a mess, I believe?
Valve has actually hurt the mid-tier scene a lot this year. Hopefully next year goes better.

It's hard to like Chinese players and teams because the language barrier makes it hard to see them as having a personality to relate to. In the majors when the Chinese players got their interviews they just stand there while the English casters put the questions and remarks through the translator. And when it comes back through, the translator doesn't reflect any enthusiasm they might have had. Might as well be talking to a robot.
Even KingR from Empire couldn't speak English perfectly, but he did it anyway and he was very clearly hyped after the win against Secret.

dota 2 economy has gone to shit
there's an infinite amount of reasons for this, but it all started with the 3 spirits update
when people have no trust in the economy, there's no reason to buy items to support these tournaments.
I remember when I used to collect ALL the tournament bundles the day they came out. I cashed out my inventory 2 years ago. The dota 2 economy simply isn't what it used to be, and the reflection of a massive plumment across all tournament bundles besides TI compendiums obviously reflects that.

I think that was unintentionally a good thing. No DotaSkinsLotto for people to get outraged about

I would say AF is choking but I feel like that's not quite right

yeah it's def good for the average consumer. lots of cheap skins at high availability.
i don't blame valve for doing what they did, but the consequence is people no longer willing to shell out for tournaments (outside of TI)

hahahah holy shit
navi are gonna lose this.

Fuck comfort for players and fun time, put them in overheated booths without access to toilets and an hotel room near a highway, this is the true form of dota 2 pro lans needed for quality games!

So, Na'Vi went high ground, twice, with Terrorblade, and they've not killed a Tier 3 tower. It should be noted.
