I think we need a different way to talk about it than that they're trying to save strategy. Because that's not what they're doing. They're trying to find the best strategy by playing a lot of different ones, instead of using one strategy over and over again just because it's been working.

Man what really impresses me about Wings is not just the fact they have good teamwork. It's their individual skill. A lot of Chinese teams are really only good at teamwork and lose their lanes solo a lot to the top Western players in mid,carry,offlane, etc. But, holy crap, these mid and carry players for Wings just destroy these Western players in lane.

Have you watched Wings play much? If they can't win their lanes, they normally get crushed. They don't really throw out "weird" stuff; they throw out synergies that just aren't necessarily on Meta heroes. (They also have a decent way of opening their drafts, but that's a longer discussion.) But if you guess right on your 2nd phase bans, it normally messes up Wings badly.

Or if you can get the push in earlier, which is how Newbee has approached them. Wings has a lot of the CDEC-vibe from last year, but they're not as good. Further, Wings really benefits from teams not being prepared for them. If we get a meta that is more defensive, I think Wings will fall off real fast, just like what happened at Manila Major.
