I liked both teams, but I wanted to see AF advance because these guys impressed me with their games and I wanted them to go and get some more experience. In time I think they can be a strong team, they just lack a bit of experience and that last game showed that they couldnt handle the pressure very well.

Dont know why people are blaming invites for AF not qualifying. They would probably have had less chances to qualify with OG / Alliance / Navi in the qualifier. That was actually their best shot.

I'm glad for Empire, but I think they woldn't do it should the tounament format be fair (at least 1-0 WB advantage would suffice for AF). But hell, it's the qualifers, we're here to run a show, not to find out which team is the strongest, oh wait...

pretty sure OG, NaVi and alliance win this qualifiers tbh... ok, new patch (might shake things up so maybe not ?) but if it was last patch (when invites were sent out), all those 3 teams win the spots either way

Stong clutch-performances today from empire. I think they had some advantage in the grand final, because they came from the lower bracket. Ad Finem had to play the first and the last series of the day. I really didn't like Valves sheduling.
The one thing that seperates Empire from the Dig and AF was their versatility. They really can switch up their heroes. The european qualifiers were awfully close at all. I still don't like the double elimination system especially on brackets with only 4 teams. It's kind of funny that AF and DiG have won the majority of their games vs empire but could not pull of the decisive win.

Anyway i hope that Empire will have a strong showing at the Major. I think they should be competetive against most of the invited teams.

I don't think it is given a lot of the direct invites would qualify. They play once in a blue moon, while many of the qualifier teams have played more regularly.

I honestly think this was the time, where Valve should have invited less, rather than more.

Agreed , the minimum they should do is a wildcard for the 2nd places in the qualifiers , at least let those team enjoy the event and have a chance to play in it.
