PPD's pick strategy, especially against Chinese teams, is simple:

Ban: Leshrac, Gyrocopter
Pick: Techies/Naga/Bounty

It works because no Chinese team wants to play two out of those three heroes. As such, PPD is able to get what he wants every time. And he isn't afraid of other teams getting bounty, because he knows how to play against it.

PPD wins simply because he and his players know both what to pick and how to play it. Had other teams known how to play these heroes, there'd be no issue, but they don't.

No, that game was over and he knew. The team likely knew it too.

Most teams don't GG when they know its over, they do when its over. EG gged here as soon as the game slipped out of their hands, there must have been some salt.

Their computers could have stopped working ding every team fight and let EG come back. But that was about it. It's really head to come from behind against bounty without a ton of split push.

Neither of those teams has shown the level of play CDEC showed in game 2 (I missed most of game 1)

Close game, CDEC out team fought EG with a significant lead. Worth watching

They had just lost 2 teamfights like 1-4, where all 4 kills CDEC had gotten were track kills, when CDEC had a far superior lategame lineup because they had a PL and EG had no real counter.

The game was over.

To be honest, they have 0-4 record against techies.

So first stage Techies pick in the finals against them, easy win?

edit: assuming they didn't ban first phase, I didn't actually see that

They first ban Techies every game.

No, this was just an out pick no one saw coming. That's why I have difficulty understanding how CDEC is able to out think PPD.
