EG is super strong. That last game was more boring than any bl/infestor SH game I saw. Ok now you're taking it too far. That era literally turned me off from sc.
if a majority of dota2 games were like this I'd never watch dota2 again.

EG is super strong. I mean if you completely take the map from your enemy and farm farm farm, why is it EG's fault if the enemy is content to let them farm? It would be throwing if they just decided to CIS it up when their enemy is offering the entire map.
I have no problem with how they play. I think it's smart, disciplined, and takes skill to execute. I have a problem with people calling it boring when teams not EG do the same thing.

why are people discussing EG as a team, take sumail away and this draft gets utterly shrekt, this was ridiculous 1 man pressure, QO playing lanaya yesterday didn't do nearly the same despite the better score, this was...annoying.

Ok so the laning stage was important but Razor needed to be useful beyond that. I think Razor is questionable as an answer for PL because if you break even or fall behind PL will eventually wreck you. The Windranger pick felt like a more inspired answer for PL.

Speaking SB support what I really liked about this draft was how they countered Storm Spirit. He likes to dive and kill off the supports. That's very hard to do when they are elusive and durable as SB and bounty hunter.

Let's not overexaggerate.
Though tbh, SC2 becoming complete shit to watch for 6 months is what made me play Dota in the first place, so I can't complain too much.

Hes talking about the San Antonio spurs + Show Spoiler +who like EG are super fun to watch. And its not their play style that people harp on so much as the fact that their players dont rock tat sleeves and do shit like this . Even if he wasnt. This is a dota thread.

As long as Universe is on EG , they will almost never be completely stomped out of games. The guy is THE best offlaner in the world IMO. Never loses his lane , farms like a maniac and can make plays after plays if Sumail gets shut down.
Teams need to focus on both Sumail and Universe to shut down EG in my opinion. Either of them can wreck a team by their own if they have a good game.

I think he meant the basketball team.

yeah the opening picks are basically a counter to SS. They pick PL into space cow which is odd because SB actually works really well against PL. PPD honestly thought this draft out really well

Razor is good because you put an aghs, aegis, and some other defensive items on him and have him press r and stand next to the enemy buildings. EG needed a hero to siege the base with so they picked him. It has nothing to do with a "PL counter" except for the fact that he ended the game before PL became an issue.

If EG didn't have SuMail and had someone else instead. PPD would draft to that player's strength. PPD elevates his players which is one of the main reasons why he's such a strong captain.
It is easier to appreciate other players cause they have to create more out of nothing. SuMail has been super good this tournament though, much stronger than DAC.

This makes a lot more sense, since those Spurs actually win.
