ESPN is streaming this tournament, right? I don't believe so. I haven't heard a thing about it this morning SportsCenter. they are. espn3 YAY television coverage worthy of a college softball regular season. i mean i prefer this level of exposure anyway. large viewer base for a very niche product. better than trying to force esports on your standard espn viewer. square peg round hole. edit: also i'm pretty sure espn3 is just watchespn. so just streaming, no TV
True, but com'on World Series gets at least espn 2 level exposure.
I swear there used to be espn3. I can't find it on my guide but I haven't had premium channels since I graduated.

I feel like VP should beat Complexity but this can go either way 2-1. It really depends on whether or not Complexity were as prepared to draft against Group B teams as they were against Group A.

I do agree that esports should garner the same level of respect as broadcasted things like poker or bowling gets. it's definitely a more fair comparison.
and i think they retired the watchespn name and just use espn3 for online streams/watch espn app. i'm pretty sure i saw this mentioned on r/cfb

Group B teams have consistently performed better than Group A teams during the Main Event.

I agree that it was clearly the stronger bracket. It was noticeable mid way through group stages.

mm i wasnt aware when they started broadcasting poker on ESPN, but i wouldn't doubt that it got a similar reaction. maybe not as publicly since twitter/social media wasnt around, but i bet people were like "wtf poker on tv"
initial outrage, followed by eh it's on and its cool

for every 2 flamers there was probably 1 person genuinely interested and picked up the game and that would be worth the flaming IMO

The series between Group B vs Group A teams are 4-6 to group B. That's quite a stretch to call that "consistently performing better".
