nah i stay with my "no tolerance for incompetency" policy. if you are late, you fucked something up and everyone in dota is very good at fucking up the same thing multiple times in a row without improving one bit.

its a 2 million dollar tournament and they cant even get a game to start on time, i am seriously buffled by the level of sheer lack of interest they seem to have in running a decent event.
there are thousands of sport events in germany each week and close to none of them ever runs late (not even 1 minute), but when it comes to esport, the only one who has some sort of professional standards seem to be valve with the international. everyone else just does random shit.

plus i am missing games now i didnt want to miss because they cant even get their games to start on time. not even the first. LOL.

if your time is so precious, why do you spend so much of it writing out impotent posts on how your time is being wasted?

maybe because he is waiting to watch at least another match?

i need to work in like 3h and looks like i will not be able to watch secret vs biggod (at least not all the game)

So much delay is built into the schedule already it is unlikely delay of that match will be impacted by the current delays. If they are resolved soon, that is.

there is no delay build into the schedule. it does take 90 minutes from one game to the next and its proven hundreds of times. its not super tight, but they have by no means much room to maneuvre around.

I actually agree fully with hfglgg. It makes no sense that EVERY single tournament outside of TI has delays or PC problems. While I can understand the occasional unforeseen issues, the number of times delays have happened make it seem that having such problems is accepted to be the standard of a tournament. The norm should be a tournament having no delays or technical issues, and not the other way around.

Oh god you're so right there must be a word in English for the extra time it takes between matches since they don't run 90 minutes, perhaps in German it's something like noneffikientclocktimerstarten.

a game takes an average of 60 minutes (55 or so it is i think) and after that you have to get the players away from the pcs, the next players at the pcs, give them a few minutes to check everything, make pregame decisions like first pick and have to load into the game.
they maybe have 10 minutes per series to catch up, they are already late 45 so i am most likely missing eg - secret.

wow nice damage control

i bet you feel proud trying to defend the fact that not even a 2Mi tournament can start the matches in time

and let's just ignore that the game finish way earlier

believe me, if people would start bitching about it like i do and stop watching events that arent run good, organizers would do well or die. no one wants to die so the quality would improve.

no i actually don't believe you... or it's more like i don't see who would spearhead the whiny mob effectively enough
like in the end you're still gonna watch these games, you, the most vocal complainer... if someone like you doesn't boycott, how can you expect a large proportion of viewers to?
