They even selected Loda immediately after, showing a BKB off cooldown, and then Akke, showing a BKB on cooldown.

I think this is just the case where you have two shoutcasters who have a lower game knowledge/awareness who have to focus on calling everything out. Yes Cap may be an okay player, but he only plays pubs so his sense of game knowledge is very limited to be honest. This is why Tobi/Cap+ one pro player is almost always a good cast, since the pro player offers insights and doesnt miss things like this while tobi or Cap can focus on casting and be corrected by the pro if they happen to make mistakes. Tobi doesnt have much time to play and learn the game so he just kinda has to make do with what hes learned through casting which may or may not always be correct Dont get me wrong, I dont like joinDota's casting in general but casting is quite difficult

He's can be an exciting player and they put him on low-playmaking-potential heroes quite a lot. Also: gg. [Edit] My stream is mostly not stuttering but it is not high-quality. I do not like the DailyMotion streams one bit.

So while he was useless it wasn't his fault nor was it seriously detrimental to their gameplan. If VP had opted not to go aggro tri etc sing would have taken the top tower fast and been a monster instead. Had that been VP's plan, and had sing then had no impact, then you could flame. But that simply wasn't the case.

Anyway DS is surge at level 1 so riiiiiiiiip his farm I think we just have some definitional issues here. You clearly agree he played an important strategic role but I guess feel he was not useful in team fights as a consequence? So not "dead weight" generally speaking just not great in fights, which is sensible to say. I'm not defending him as a player as much as his role in that match, which I felt was quite useful and successful for what it was meant to be. Even so I think their fights would have gone far worse if he had not been in them. Veno utility even when underfarmed is often underappreciated. You definitely sacrifice some kill potential with wards-first build. [Edit] Edge I appreciate your point but that is actually what is meant by risk-management when it is used correctly. Managing risk is not the same as avoiding it and it certainly does not prevent you from taking risks that blow up; it's just about choosing intelligent levels of risk given the reward available. Razor walking up to the pit was a huge risk for no imaginable reward (he clearly wasn't going to stop the rosh attempt solo). However I could imagine them saying "we'll sacrifice one body to make them walk away" since first blood < level one rosh but they probably could have accomplished that without razor getting so close and definitely dying.

He certainly isn't bad but just because he is good with mirana and has an entertaining stream doesn't mean he is a very good player. Mediocre imo. Here's his record. http://www.dotabuff.com/esports/players/19757254 Sing is a great player; I don't know how to rank him because I don't think he's been utilized to his potential including on his new team where he seems to mostly get boring or low-impact heroes. Clearly though he's good at more than Mirana and quite good at some high-skill-cap heroes. Holy crap that fight just now...ridiculous. Also, so so so so so tired of Razor and Skywrath both.
