They have to play for the fans always, not just say they do. After all its US - the community that will make every single player of the winning team a millionare.
Please, are you even trying here?
The quality dropping? I'm very sorry for you, that your team could not make it, but it was because a better team with better "quality" beat them. I also like how you postulate even before the match that the final is going to be boring, how biased can you be? It feels like you haven't watched last years final. Did you miss the first and the second game? Were they the top notch quality you are refering to?
If you think, just for one second, that because you bought a compendium or a ticket, that you dictate how the teams play the game, you should seriously stop up for just one second and think. Your whole post reeks of some feeling of entitlement.
Once again, I am very sorry that your favorite teams could not make it, be it a western or a chinese team, albeit I'm pretty sure which ones you like, but at least show some respect to the teams that made it further.

Read the VG vs newbee preview article. It might stop some of that "6pool" nonsense flying around in this thread. I am looking forward to see how the drafts go. VG and NB do share some heroes, so i am curious what we will see in those games. And i dont think it will be that short of a final. We might have 1-2 stomps(meaning ~20min games) at max

If it was LGD DK then i would agree to what you said. Are you kidding me, VG and NB are the most anti-eastern eastern teams in dota history. EG looks more like a chinese team, c9 just drafted retardedly.
C9's loss in game 3 to VG wasn't the draft. They had a solid draft and better lanes as well. Their decision making is what lost them that game. (seriously, why wouldn't VG check for a lvl 1 rosh when C9 drafted THEIR OWN LINEUP)

Don't think I can catch the grand finals on a weekday...think I have to avoid all social media tomorrow until I can catch the games. GL to both teams.

Hoping to see some Sylar's Syllabear!

let's be fair
TI3 grand finals involved 4 stomps and 1 game which was decided by 2-3 plays + 1 lucky roshan bash
to say this is going to be boring is unfair, as last year's finals were boring until the 5th game.

Just curious so thought i'd ask here ;o
It's a status thing in China (nothing to do with Dota). I don't really remember anymore what it ment exactly but apparently you're better than those without or something. Might have to do with hard workers not being able to have those fingernails because they would break so it shows you don't work in a mine or something... but don't quote me on that.

Last years finals (and Meta) allowed both team to actually get to the mid game.
This years finals (and new Meta) will allow only one team to reach the mid game, unless the team that loose the early engagement play out of their minds to stage a comeback (like DK and EG did in the games they came back).
This is all about the early snowball, and as such the reference to 6-pool is spot on. Except that the only viable counter strategy here is to also 6 pool yourself. There is no way to build a defense building in time to save the game (or in dota terms, counter push and split push has been nerfed into oblivion).
Well, all those who hated split push (rat dota) should be overjoyed with the current Meta. This is all they hoped for.

Or just don't draft two heroes with massive level 6 cool downs and you should be able to fight it off. The reason the meta is so dry this time is because all the teams really doubled down drafting from a limited pool of heroes. So much razor, faceless tide. People forgot about Bane, KotL, PL, PA, and all those other heroes they were playing a month ago.

It is not. It is not an early game cheese. Its more like a timing attack that is hard to hold. And in the 2nd game EG showed that it is not impossible to hold without playing a push strat yourself
