Assume (for example) THAT Vici had won a tiebreaker, DK couldn't have played against them... currently they have that option.

Their style always was predictable. They just are no more the new team on the block and aren't on that so called honeymoon phase anymore. Others have simply learned to play against them.

Orchid/BKB are cores (I mean BKB can be skipped and hex maybe instead but it just wasn't that type of game), mjoll vs naga, satanic to man the fuck up while breaking high ground vs a mix of magic/phys damage (he might have gone shivas if it was like all physical dmg).

DK should get their pick from 3rd or 4th... now it sounds like they will pick from 2,3,4, which is not exactly the same. Assume (for example) THAT Vici had won a tiebreaker, DK couldn't have played against them... currently they have that option. If we're talking upper/lower bracket that's different.

Nah, what motivation do they have to pick a team that's played against them/felt them out so many times and is one of the better teams here?

They are doing a different style of casting/tournament. It is a matter of taste which you prefer. I like it in (very) small doses.
