Were we watching the same finals? You had Naix on a plane follow Burning all across the map killing him. Then the next game, you had razor blowing shit up with 200 attack damage at 10min. None of the games went past 40min.
I agree it wasn't very back-and-forth, but that doesn't mean the games were boring.
Boring games don't necissarily have to be long games.

All the 3 games were stomps. It was obvious who was going to win after the first 10 minutes. I mean, the games were well played by TongFu, very well played even, but in no way were they exciting.
Game 2 was quite back-and-forth 10min in. Tongfu overextended a couple of times and some of the fights were close. If you don't find one-sided games exciting, then you should try to clarify your point. Personally, I found Tongfu's aggression very exciting in the same vein as iG steamrolling one of the teams at TI2 with double rampage TA or when they blew up Na`Vi with strong ganking in one of the really short games.
I don't know what's your point. How in the world could've these games been objectively considered "good"? Sure, I enjoyed Na'Vi vs. iG, because I'm a Na'Vi fan, but that doesn't make the match any good. Same thing here, you might have found it exciting, but the games were not fun to watch.

You're putting words in my mouth. I'm saying "exciting" means different things to different people and the way you used it was very narrow/imprecise. What I said has nothing to do with how "objectively good" the game was, which is a completely different subject. I'm not saying you belong in a group of people who called Chinese games boring for going on for 60+ min, but even those games could be called exciting because of how intense late-game teamfights are. Maybe this is the excitement you meant, but then you could have used a more precise term like "back-and-forth".
The way Tongfu played in most games was ganking the crap out of DK and proceeding to take the towers. Last I checked, relying on ganking to snowball in order to win is considered the more exciting way of winning the game compared to playing passively and farming up your stronger late-game. One of the casters mentioned how iG is no longer playing the same style as last year, so Tongfu has taken the mantle as the most aggressive Chinese team. As for the claim that the games were decided after 10min, DK had superior late-game in at least two of the games and they're known for making big comebacks.
Anyways, I'm just trying to get you to think more about the subject instead of simply dismissing it and saying "the game was a stomp, so it wasn't very exciting", which I've heard people say in some places and the logic of which I question.
Despite a very sad day to be DK's fan, i'm very pleased by TongFu's creativity and performance. They deserved the title 110% and bounced back from their loss to DK yesterday. I knew BurNIng and Co. won't win the 2nd time, they never do, thats why i was threatened by their victory at AWC.

if LGD is in the final, it would be more epic
Can you please enlighten us on what actually Chinese commentators and Sgamer forums says about DK's performance and who do they blame the most? There's no point knowing their opinion about TF, cause obviously they played great and nothing but praises to them.
Personally i believe BurNIng underperformed a lot in this series. Very low performance for his usual standards and very poor map awareness, which is so uncharacteristic for him.

As you could probably tell, I ended up having to ride solo tonight and thus unfortunately couldn't do everything we wanted. Big shoutout to Brax for his insightful casting and kupon3ss for coming by the house and doing some awesome subtitles though. He even helped out with the production stuff at the last minute! <3
Why were you solo to begin with?
Wasn't the funding and moving to LA to be better prepared to cast the eastern scene? The hours of the games are not really out of the ordinary, so you should have known better.
Also, wouldn't it be better if you did it LGD.int style and went to china? probably some organization would like english casters, but i know notting.

mostly rotk was the one
commentators criticized a lot about his performance on Mag in 1st game (safe lane, but feeding a lot)
game2 and 3, commentators were mostly praising on mu&hao combo.

As to why I was solo, that's a bit complicated. Let's just say something came up for the other guys and leave it at that.
I definitely agree that the show wasn't anything special last night. That being said, I don't think it's fair to assess the success of our entire move / the new studio based on one 3 hour broadcast.
Since we opened the new studio two months ago, we've created / delivered over 250 hours of live content, with 90-95% of that content including at least 2 in-studio broadcasters and a producer working on the show, and at least 50-60% of it involving a full, inhouse 5-man team of 2 broadcasters, 2 analysts, and 1 producer.
I'm not saying we're perfect, because lord knows we have plenty of room to improve, but I *am* extremely proud of what we've managed to achieve as a start-up with limited financial resources. We'll continue to work hard to improve our product, but trust me, timezones and location are not an excuse or reason for any mistakes we make or failings we may have.

You are right, yesterday I was just disapointed, because you have been doing such a good job and i woke up early to watch those matches to see the team i root for have a really bad time and the production of the biggest grand final outside TI being subpar.
I was pissed i trow it a bit on you, sorry for that. But I hope your studio keeps improving, and provides us more good casts.
