she speaks well and shes not awkward at all though, actually seems professional
Not a knowing a shit about what you're talking about sounds professional to you? I don't mean to be offensive but for me an awkward geek who knows what he's talking about would be more professional.
She's doing an amazing job so far.
Way less cringeworthy than any of the female SC2 interviewers I've witnessed so far.

a well-spoken person with experience in television reporting who can actually establish a rapport with the interviewee seems much more professional to me, they have a goddam 4-man analysis desk for everything else

Well they hired an actual professional who has spent time on television already, she feels comfortable and not at all awkward like other reporters.
I haven't heard the interviews yet, but I think this is a good way to do it as long as production can feed her decent questions through her in-ear monitor. She's a professional local morning news anchor for Fox News in Seattle, apparently:
@KaciAitchison ("Anchor, @Q13FOX News This Morning, 6-10am! NW Native/Husky Grad."):
@kurpiii I am a Dota nube. I just love talking to people who are passionate about something- saw a doc on @dota2 and am fascinated.

Seriously, I'm really impressed with her. Usually the "I don't know about this game but I got hired as a host" person is so cringeworthy, but she sounds natural and seems to have a good rapport with people.
Agreed. But then again, she should be good at what she does. Apparently some Fox news anchor?
Whats with the praise for this chick? She feels so out of place and Puppey caught her out laughing at a joke she didn't get after which she comes up with a fast lie about "seeing Sheever out in the lobby." Gross.

Then all interviewers in professional sports are unprofessional to you. Because they are never experts.

While I think she did a very good job, I agree they should get someone who knows something about the game. If you want somebody who knows about the game AND is a cute girl, get Soe or Sheever at least.
She seems like a, you know, sports interviewer. She might not have the most in depth knowledge, but she belongs on the camera and she isn't intimidated by her lack of knowledge. She has faith in her questions and her ability to ask them. Honestly, that's all you need as an interviewer.
Also, that Upper Bracket image just drives home the fact that Liquid missed the Upper Bracket by one game. <</33
