Vision blocking spawns is a common misconception. It has nothing to do with whether you can see the spawn location or not, and everything to do with whether a unit or object of any kind (wards, courier, heroes, creeps, summons, albeit not dropped items) is within the vicinity. Yango has linked a nice picture showing the exact box that each neutral creep spawn location checks for this. | ||

Yes, this is called the "magic bush" (as in theres a little bush on the ground for where both camps can be blocked) Though if you block both camps then it's super easy to deward since theres only one place where the block could be. | ||

In pubs it's pretty common that supports don't actively try to secure you farm, so going for cheaper earlier items with which you can get kills is a good way of getting money and snowballing to your bigger items. I wouldn't rely too much on your team trying to give a carry farm in a pub. | ||

You very often get terrible lanes with a partner competing for lasthits, and lategame the jungle is often cleared out by some random support looking for a scepter or something. Likewise any wave that's pushed to reasonable position. Plus you usually have twice the sensible number of farm-dependent heroes to begin with. | ||

As far as the original discussion--Phase Drums is BETTER when farm is hard to find, not worse. It gives you immediate combat power rather than requiring 2-3 big items to fight. | ||

you're better off working on improving your mechanics first before working on your item builds. you're wondering what you should do if you can't farm a bfury or bkb when you should be wondering what you can do to improve your rate of farm so you can afford a bfury or bkb in a reasonable amount of time | ||

Silencer's Ulti is so damn strong, how isn't this guy picked more in the competitive scene? it's so fucking rape and lastly, items on Silencer? I went Bottle/Treads/Force/Atos, everything after that was pretty much just dicking around. I bought a Hex eventually but I'm thinking that a Blink dagger would've helped a lot, forcestaff isn't enough mobility. Necro's an option but it's...eh~. I guess, there's probably better stuff. Shiva's Guard seems like the best go-to option, more int&armor a mek would've helped a lot in retrospect, I was a pretty brittle mid. Something for an attack speed would be nice...shadow blade? | ||
