Using a double damage rune will give all your illusions within x range the buff. It's far more awesome on chaos knight, but ^_^

It's far more awesome on chaos knight, but ^_^ I think the range is 275, but I don't care to look it up. When activated, gives the Hero and any controlled illusions within 500 AoE +100% damage for 45 seconds. This only affects attack damage, not spell damage. It also does not take into account pure damage items (such as Divine Rapier), but only your base damage and any attribute increasing effects.
Apparently it's true, holy dam.

I don't see him as being level dependant in the least bit, and he has no real need for farm beyond mana boots. He's different from magnus who is best in mid or offlane because faster levels and farm really augments his effectiveness. Without manaboots and blink (or another initiating item) magnus can't do his job as well. Titan's skills are nice for ganking for sure, but isn't particularly better at it than any other hero. However, compared to supports, he has a large aoe 2 second sleep at level 2, and a large aoe 3 second sleep at level 3. In a trilane that can open up a lot of possibilities for kills, or can perhaps stop an opposing kill attempt. His ult is essentially no more effective with extra points in it than it is at level 1.
I'm not saying he can't mid or offlane, I just don't see a reason for why you would ever choose him to be your mid or offlane hero. I don't think he adds anything to your team with farm or level priority more than any other hero who can mid or offlane. Levels are HUGELY important on TC. Maxed nukes speaks for itself, and by midgame, being able to start having points in the aura increases your teamfight power immensely. As far as items go, there is something important for TC that Mag does not necessarily need--staying power. Mag only needs a Blink because any time he's actually close to the enemy, they are disabled either by RP or by Skewer. Beyond that, he performs most of his usefulness keeping Empower on the carry and throwing Shockwaves on CD. He doesn't need to stay in melee range consistently. TC is unlike this for 2 reasons: 1) He has an 8 second damage buff that will give him upwards of 300-400 damage. When that Spirit comes back to you, you want to be attacking things for that whole 8 seconds because things die in like 3-4 hits. 2) You want to keep the aura constantly on a high-value target (it's radius is only 275 so you basically have to be in melee range for the target to receive the aura). This means you have to be in their face--the aura only has 50% uptime if you use the spirit for it. This means TC has a higher necessity for survivability and staying power than Mag does, even though he doesn't have a core item like Blink. Mek/BKB are crucial to your teamfight effectiveness because of this. If you don't have the farm priority to buy defensive/utility items and stay in the fight and only playing as a backline support with his nukes, you are not maximizing the hero's potential. But you're usually far away when you stomp. I've been playing spell combo, then maybe run in (but still very strong, they do not expect to die so fast). I don't mind running in during smaller skirmishes, but full 5 on 5 team fights it's a little scary.
Dota1 people would buy lothars on it to safely counter-initiate.
Mid arcane/mek was pretty strong, but my allies did call for ganks. Should you be doing that?

It depends on the lanes. They need good setup for Stomp/Splitter to be effective. But if they have stuns to set you up, then yes, ganking can pay off.
You pretty much want to countergank everything, because with such a long engagement range, you can pretty much always just TP onto a tower and immediately be in targeting range of the enemy heroes.

well in dota 1, you'd go image then pop the dd rune. that's why bottle's so nice. then they all get the dd

Yes, but the DD is +damage and illusions can't use +damage at all. Unless DD is the exception to the rule?

will he affect my stats and k/d ratio and stuff? From what i can gather, there's no k/d ratio tracker thing on dota2... perhaps for the better heh If you allow your matchmaking to be shared in the options, your KDA will be viewable. You can keep this off, but that means you can't check your stats on dotabuff.

You can create a second account, though I had problems registering a dota 2 key on it without using a Virtual Machine (probably because it detected that dota 2 already existed on the computer).
If you need a key, pm me.

Is Centaur Warrunner a viable mid? Also what are standard item choices for him? I usually do Stout Shield, Tranquils, Blink, Drums, Blademail, Heart, Shivas in some order depending on the game, but I'm not really sure what items work best and what situations call for certain items over others. I've also been trying out soul ring + treads over tranquils.

He's great to carry stuff like Pipe/AC/Heart in general.

i like playing centaur solo mid. but you have to take everything i say with a grain of salt because i think everyone is viable mid as long as you have good last hitting skills and ur not going against an elite solo mid like batrider.
some history: centaur solo mid was a fad for a bit about 4 years ago in DXD, an in-house league I was very active in. Pioneered by players like swissbeatz and demon, it relied mostly on Return (before it was based on strength) to punish ranged harass. It's essential to start with melee stout with this build, and the goal is mostly to survive by discouraging the ranged solo from harassing you too much. This usually means a max Return by level 7, with double edge sacrificed. But now centaur has that crazy ulti plus you don't get the strength bonus, so u may have to mix it up or even skip ulti if you're going for straight survival.
anyway, like all heroes when you solo with a melee it's important to two hit deny to try to maintain hill advantage as much as possible. centaur has a great attack animation and high base damage so it shouldnt be too bad.

I remember from Dota1 that it used to be short or long lane solo and mostly 2 heroes going mid. What changed that? Was there an advantage for having a solo mid?

Why is death prophet never picked in pro games? I realize bkb shuts her down pretty hard, but wouldn't she be very similar to skywrath with less nuke spam but aoe and pushing power?

no escape skill, no stun/slow. She's basically usless as a lane partner, and a weak solo mid dude to her wriggly projectile and crazy heroes like batrider (please nerf batrider icefrog kthxbai)

It is much harder to utterly deny an opponent 2v1 mid than it is in a side lane, due to the distance between towers. The solo vs 2 can just hide under their tower and likely still get most of the XP. In a sidelane the amount of space between towers allows for creep equilibrium to be maintained in a place where the opponent cannot safely get XP (in a 2v1 lane mismatch). PS. Not really sure that dual mid was ever seriously popular for more than short periods of time here and there.

Her silence is reasonably bad. Skywrath wins mid. Skywrath ganks well. Skywrath's silence is ridiculously good.
