Luna is a decent counter to PL as long as there's a team to back her up. Sven just one-shots the illusions and then the PL with the 2nd attack. Sven only kills pl before pl gets his third item (diffu/heart/bfly) after that you have to be a lot more farmed or to have a lot of consecutive crits. At equal farm pl kills luna really easily. You really have a timer when playing against pl.
This really depends on the position of the PL. The fact is that Sven's cleave only takes into account the armor of the attacked unit, so if he attacks an illusion, he generally comes out on top. After PL gets his a heart, it allows for more attacks on the illusions. I honestly believe that any cleave hero is a hard counter to PL for this reason. Even though he may have a lot of hitpoints, Sven really destroys PL, even with similar farm.
However, something to note is that PL can split push much better than sven. He can also indirectly stall fights to a point where the entire team is better than the team with sven on it. PL will outcarry almost any hero given his illusions. However, Sven will deal with in direct engagements most of the time.

PL's illusions are going to have almost exactly the same amount of armor as the main PL. The only differences would be devotion aura from a vlads or AC (RoA/RoB have even smaller bonuses). Even if the PL builds it himself I'm not sure it is enough of PL's armor to outweigh 70% cleave. I'm questioning how to mathcraft this to see which one is better.

Cleaved damage ignores target armor, has nothing to do with illusions.

Not only that, illusions don't gain armor from your items or auras--non-Endurance-based auras don't affect illusions.
EDIT: Note that illusions DO gain Evasion from items. Cleave doesn't hit any secondary targets if the attack on the main target misses, so Butterfly is quite key for PL fighting Sven lategame.

I thought it splashed the damage that was reduced by your targets armor. I need a crash course in splash it seems. My wc3 mechanics has me really disappointed today.

I'm sorry if this is too simple a question.
I've never played Dota before; can you recommend a few heroes to play with to kind of "get a grip?"
im reading through the newbie guides atm
edit: nvm i seem to have found a few recommendations

Play whatever looks shiny and fun. Heroes you want to avoid are Invoker (I know he looks shiny, but resist) and Meepo because they are really hard. People are going to tell you to play lich, but you want fun. If you find lich fun go for it, but his playstyle tends to lean towards boring in my opinion.

Is it generally better to go for blink dagger before defiance with centaur?

Hood of Defiance. About the question though; it really depends on the game. If the other team consist of many heroes with a lot of magic damage, getting Hood first is a good choice. Other times you will be fine with rushing Blink, or you could just get a casual Cloak into a Blink.

I want to spam my abilities all the time. Therefor i need a hero with mana related skills, stealing mana, preserving mana etc. Additionally recommend me a good item build for this type of play.

uh, that is a very strange question. no hero is going to allow you to spam spells indefinitely without running out of mana. Its also funny that you just want to cast spells a lot but dont care what they do xD. Try Storm Spirit I guess.

What is the prd progression of a 25% proc in dota 2? Meaning what % does the ability have to proc on the 1st hit, 2nd hit, 3rd hit etc.
edit: Found answer on dota 2 wiki
"For example, Slardar's Bash has a 25% probability to Stun the target. On the first attack, however, it will only have an ~8.5% probability to bash; this is its PRD constant C. Each subsequent attack without a bash increases this probability by 8.5%. So on the second attack, the chance is 17%, on the third it is 25.5%, etc. After a bash procs, the probability resets to 8.5% for the next attack. These probabilities average out so that, over a moderate period of time, Bash will proc very nearly 25% of the time. "
Scenario: I'm a sniper with headshot, mkb and a basher. My headshot hits on the first shot, does the prd count that as a miss for the basher and mkb and thus increase the chance of either of those proccing next?
If sylla's bear has a lifesteal orb, does his entangle supercede the lifesteal?
Does a hand of midas on sylla's bear give exp to sylla when it is used? Does the hero have to be in range? Does the hero get exp from creeps/heroes killed by the bear's radiance?
edit: Sylla's entangle doesn't use prd. Does that mean it has a straight 20% chance of occurring each attack except during it's cd?

Keeper of the light is THE ultimate spammer, and can also manipulate enemy mana.
He's a also an incredibly fun to play support and can win games by himself 'cause he's an incredible pusher.
KoTL ftw
