The team is playing in such a chaotic fashion relying on outplays to pull off all sorts of crazy shit and the heroes you have to ban against them only grows larger and larger. Not saying it's impossible to beat Liquid at all but I don't think figuring them out is the way to beat them at this point. You could've fairly described EG the same way, and Liquid fairly thoroughly outdrafted and outplayed them today. The top teams are very close. I think Liquid was underestimated by all, including themselves, at the start of the tournament. They won't fly under the radar again.

When every single player on your team has a signature hero or two within the meta that the opponent has to be wary of, it opens up so many options. That said, the meta shifts, and there's doubtless going to be one more big patch before TI. Hopefully our boys can keep pace, because if they do, they're one of the favorites to win the whole thing.

You don't ban LD/NP against alliance then cuz bulldog plays the heroes well. You do so cuz alliance runs the dual core strategy so well, that you wanna deny them it. Other times you ban cuz the hero is OP like disco pony or pewpewpew LD or bull$hit alch.

Not only did they lose the draft in every single game except the first, but they played so pathetically poorly that there was never any hope of overcoming the draft disadvantage. Attempting ganks that had no hope of success, taking teamfights they had no hope of winning, getting consecutively picked off under the same ward, stacking the few stuns they have when they really can't afford to, and above all the chain feed whenever there was the slightest glimmer of hope that they could turn the game around. I wouldn't have minded if they had lost after putting up a fight against an opponent that just played too well, but that wasn't the case. They beat themselves. Hopefully tomorrow goes better. This tournament is too important to choke in. By playing as poorly as they are they're dismissing the argument for a direct TI invite that they made in Starladder. I hope that in the future we can trust in the boys ![]()

But Day 1 Liquid was playing the sloppiest Dota they have played in a while and they looked terrible. I don't think it is not having faith in fact it shows how great Liquid is to call this into light because they played so bad Day 1 and then turned it around and ran through the tournament which was so fantastic to watch.
