Look at Rtz, Universe, aui, to some extend zai or manson. As long as they played with ppd they were considered T1 player.s After they left they were average at best(apart from maybe zai ). If i would be EG, i would keep ppd and kick the otheres if they don't want to play with him. There are a lot of good players in dota, but only a few good captains. Both zai and RTZ were at their best in Secret 2.0 IMO

PPD out, fear to take a break
edit: I believe the PPD is out rumor 1. We have 100+ viable heroes in the new dota patches. PPD has a limited pool. 2. PPD brings some. negativity, passive aggressive comments, condescension. He is a good captain and player. 3. Cr1t is better, more versatile, and more well liked than PPD 4. If I'm RTZ and summail, I sure as hell want cr1t over PPD. I think Zai and Uni will perfer cr1t to PPD as well. 5. Cr1t is just better and less abrasive personality than PPD. 6. RTZ, ZAI, Uni have left Pedur before, they'll leave him out again. I would never take Cr1t for PPD, and if you actually think that is a GOOD choice... Oh my. You act as if you know their situation as well, "PPD has a limited hero pool" lol... You can have your own opinion but if the rumour is true then that's RTZ/Zai/Uni/Sumail who all would take cr1t over PPD... Considering 3/4 have left EG for PPD related reasons before it's not an outlandish theory though we'll see if it pans out Apart from RTZ we have no way of knowing if they left because of ppd. To me it looked like they thought playing Secret was a good opportunity and when it failed they came back. If the rumors are true I think it's more that Uni, zai, Suma1l had to choose between playing with ppd or RTZ since they won't play together anymore and they chose RTZ.
Universe definitely said he left because of vague personal issues. Don't have such a quote for Zai but in both cases if why would they leave a team having great results if PPD wasn't the issue? Why especially would they pick RTZ over PPD if they had more success with the latter if there weren't problems?
I'm not saying it's definitely the reason but it's infinitely more plausible than random internet people having better insight into team chemistry than pro players themselves like saying cr1t over PPD can't possibly be a good choice

PPD is a bully. Some of the things he said to/about Artour were straight up out of line, especially when you consider that PPD is 22 and Arteezy was around 16 at the time. I'm not surprised that Zai, Cr1t, and Sumail are giving him the boot.

If ppd did have some personality issues that grated on all his teammates, the more surprising thing would probably be that every one of them still came back to play with him at least once. Bu there's always a story that people will never hear.
In terms of success/failure, I would probably bet on ppd+4 over EG-ppd.

Yeah I mean PPD being toxic isn't really news. The thing is that despite being toxic, he's got his team to 3 top-3 placements at TI in a row including a championship, and that's worth putting up with a lot of angst to be part of.
It wouldn't surprise me if someone's finally fed up with him, but then it's a personal decision and not a results-oriented decision. The team is worse without him, almost unquestionably.
It's really the Navi breakup question all over again. Do you bet on the captain or the flashy cores? My money's on the captain.

any examples of what ppd has said or done to arteezy or other teammates which would lead you to say he's toxic, etc?

His VLog after Summit 3 (?) when Arteezy and Zai left for Secret is probably a good one, IIRC. Basically said he raged too hard at his team after the losses, too much disagreement over how to play, etc.
Again, they both came back to play with him, so apparently he knows how to reconcile with old teammates. And it's hard to say players can't work with him when most of the (rumoured) ones have been on his team for multiple years.

saw it coming but yet i still feel sad....

Really hope he left on his own and is retiring.

Holy shit... this is big, if he's retiring, grats to one of the best Dota players of all times, don't know how EG can replace him tbh

I mean I told yall this was happening. Not sure why zai left roster, might be a troll, or some new development (less likely).

Oh hell - zai is out of EG too. Thats unexpected to be honest. Maybe zai in the new SWE squad with s4?

Holy shit, I would never dream EG and Alliance to be gutted like whats being specualted. They're such big names. It seems like a tragic waste

Well, if gga itself is going down this is a lot more than just internal drama.
Wait and see.
