Yeah, they are going to try to prove the case is tainted and that might work. It depends on if enough of the evidence against him is ruled at tainted by the Secret Service agents. But it would have to be a lot since a judge already ruled the evidence from the DEA mole was sufficient for trial to continue.
Emotion pandering is part of a good prosecution. They are not in here to win prizes on the internet or make people feel good. They are in it to win their case and convince the jury.

Its prepared so they can say the necessary statements while under emotional stress and not mess it up before the jury. Its clear, to the point and doesn't have alternative interpretations. The last thing the DA wants is to have to badger the witness while they are upset on the stand.

This assumes that our cultures are exactly the same and the government would regulate the for profit prison system. In the current political climate, I'll take the current system over some for profit garbage that would be run by black water or some shit.
