Pretty much this. They are a sub group within the Republicans that gained a lot of power and prominence after we elected a black president. Its weird, its almost like all these people came from other groups that got together once that happened.

In Poland it's the other way round, the opposition says that if they get elected , they will give more money to all sorts of people and professional groups, but they never say where will the money come from, since the budget certainly won't be able to cover such additional expenses. Texas opted out of a section of the Affordable Care Act out of protest because the black president championed it. And now all their hospitals are at risk of going bankrupt because they don't receive enough money to function. Now they need to cut spending, but to do that they need to turn critically injured people away from emergency rooms. And they can't do that because they are required to treat people who are dying or critically injured by law.
