the problem with sjws, especially of the tumblr breed, is that they have no grounding in reality. a load of special snowflakes with sheltered upbringings who think that the world should accommodate their every wish. they see the latest trendy social justice cause propagating thru the tumblr airwaves and jump on it with their own ill-informed views so that they feel good about themselves.

Unless you want to focus on them to avoid talking about real stuff.

They are disliked by a lot of people trying to do real work and change things. But are also not worth the time worrying about because they not really have a lot of influence.

It's mostly applied to left wing college liberals who fight for misguided causes and don't really understand that the solutions they propose will not work.

At this point is is almost meaningless because people throw it around any time to talk about anything that sounds mildly progressive.

as far as I can tell SJW means "someone who tells me I'm being mean to a group of people" lol
it's also the most overused term since either hipster or white knight

Another problem is that people talk about real issues using overly aggressive/patronizing language, which in turn triggers aggressive responses from other people, which turns what could potentially be a good discussion into an instant flamewar.
