You could create an account with 100% wins on dotabuff by disabling dotabuff anytime you lose, theoretically. AFAIK you have to manually force it to gather matches retroactively.

Back at the dawn of time, you didn't have to enable 3rd party shit for dotabuff to get your infos, then valve implemented a thing that means you did. If he had 3rd party things disabled until that game, then activated it and happened to play one game against you then what happened would happen.
Not sure why you're checking dotabuff though, it's pretty safe to assume that normal bracket is all kinda bad regardless.
