Treads on invoker are probably just a preference thing or to make his cold snap proc more often (and if he's going exort it makes his right clicks stronger than phase's +22 does most likely. Not gonna do the math but it sounds right). Phase boots are more for when you go quas/wex because with drums + phase you move at basically max ms with wex on at its higher levels. Phase boots if you're going quas/exort are because invoker's movespeed is terrible, but people have been making up for that with force staff and blink to get better positioning... thus the mana boots to help the team for pushes and because exort spells are fairly mana intensive. That said in a pub I almost always go for phase boots + force staff. (To me force staff is completely core on the hero, lets you setup many kills and get into position for crucial ice walls/meteors/deafening blasts or gets you out of trouble). Some team compositions you still want to go quas/wex but generally quas/exort is better now, gives you global map presence and a very strong pushing presence once quas and exort are both level 4. (and a single point in either wex or exort after you get them to what you need lets you do deafening blasts either build, and it's an incredible teamfight spell) | ||

Tango/Blades of attack on wex invoker lets you have last hit damage/regen with quas tango/and phase just makes sense from there. Tango/Blades starting item for an exort invoker just doesn't make sense. Boots/Tango would be the equivalent. Edit: Spelling | ||

She gets banned way too much to see any play  Most Ace DotA games this season have Siren included in some way and she is one of the few carries that can reliably disable someone to set up a kill, not to different from Chaos Knight (who is also quite popular in the Chinese scene) | ||
