One on the most obvious gank route, one on each of rune spots (give control to allies if you can't handle them), gank globally ! General rule is, you have one trap ready for immediate use, 2 on runepots and rest in random places where enemies may be. A short story to show how you use traps well  I was laning top as sentinel(radiant), put my very fisrt trap in the jungle to spot for ganks. 40 minutes later I farm top and a trap spots a gank squad for me. Refraction gives you 80 extra damage for 5 hits, way more than meld and the damage block is ofc also really huge. The minus armor from meld doesn't really matter tbh, because most TA get a medaillon and since negative armor values scale horrible, the -8 armor from meld is not that useful early on, only when people have more armor anyway. | ||

Traps 7.Meld 8.Meld 9.refraction 10.refraction 11.traps 12.psi blades 13.refraction 14.psiblades 15.stats 16.traps You'd be surprised how often I follow it very strictly, ofc I switch it around freely if the game calls for it. Items: Core: Vanguard, Treads Follow up: Any of these: Deso, Blink dagger, Mkb, Crit, hot, Buttterfly This build is Old school/ I don't take any criticism so don't bother | ||

I get psiblades at lvl1, then max meld. I get one level of refraction early in some situations, otherwise I get psiblades up to lvl 3 before maxing refraction. Medallion into deso into crit. Blink is nice but not too necessary imo. | ||

I know blink is fun as hell but I still think using that 2150 gold for faster deso is more useful imo. | ||
