How does he fit into the competitive scene, is he commonly picked up? Because it just seems like he has alot which synergizes with the current meta game.
He has some cute utility in some scenarios that make him a solid niche pick, but his lack of AoE, hard disables, or lategame carry potential mean that he doesn't really have the fundamentals.
He's basically a cheese hero.
Here's undying used in a pro game. It's in DotA between 2 Russian teams, OSI and M5 (not pgg. it was G, NS, AA, Dread, Santa). It's one of the best games I have ever seen, I really recommend watching it, don't want to spoil anything, but there are some very surprising moments.
this game makes me want to see bristleback in Dota 2. Looks so damn fun to play.
Watching this makes me wonder about 2 things when i compare current dota2 strats: 1) why does the girl say that doom bringer was a permaban back then? 2) why do we not see too many heal champs nowadays in competitive dota2? Chen is probably the only 1 strong pick that has a heal
2) because they all suck enchant sees play too but idk if she counts as a healer
Dude, Chen is near autopick and autoban in most games. Omni is used in some strats and Complexity (then known as Fire) played with him a ton when they first burst onto the scene.
WD gets picked once in a blue moon and Jugg's healing ward also gets pick in some push oriented lineups.

This was freaking amazing. Strongly recommend watching the game. I can't how those teamfights went, that was really cool.
EDIT: Also about the healing strats, Wouldn't it be EXTREMELY obvious becasue you have to ban AA in the first stage for something like this to work, so if you see a team ban AA you can ban/pick their heroes etc. WD's heal is more of a slow push, its not all that great in fast group fights IMO, but because of the tanky nature of the heroes+their items they lasted long enough for it to do a lot of healing.
About doom, no idea I think he was nerfed fairly recently?

It wasn't obvious. AA was quite a high pick and ban back then, much more than it is now. It was one of the better solo mids at that time.
edit: also, too bad Sienna quit commentating. This was like her 10th cast ever, I thought she was quite talented. She didn't handle the whole "being a girl on the Internet" thing and deleted her youtube account.
Dazzle is a great pusher and general support, unfortunately he's fairly level dependent. I soloed as him once 2v1 and smashed faces, thou the enemies weren't exactly top tier Also all his spells are physical damage so he owns with medalion and some slardar on the team [:

Him and SF have very good synergy as a babysitting lane, dazzle keeps sf from dying, and benefits from the armor reduction, and then poison lets SF hit the razes super easily, and then weave + SF get's pretty stupid in team fights as well.

So are you expecting SF to skip levels of necromastery for his aura during the laning phase? I think the +damage is better than -armor early on (which would also pushes your lane a little). However, there synergy is a good, I agree.

read the post above mine, chen was included lol it's pretty much just chen and enchant that are strong picks omni and jugg are okay but they're not particularly good or anything, and wd's awful
These new features Valve puts out are really nice. I really like this featured hero thing in your profile. I'm generally a fan of personification of profiles!

SF doesn't want a plain babysit duo lane. His levels 1 and 2 are too weak and a duo extends the period of time in which he's not effective. Dazzle exacerbates this problem because Dazzle is ALSO ridiculously weak at levels 1 and 2. Any reasonable duo will shut you out of the game before you hit level 3.
SF wants either a solo lane (shitty, but if you can survive to 5 without being shut out of the game by ganks, or sneak enough lasthits early agianst a weaker player to have enough stacks to compete you're set), or a 2v1 where after the support babysits him to 8 stacks then pulls creeps for the rest of laning (letting SF get to full stacks so he can 1v1 effectively, and then letting him have solo XP).
Not sure why aysee had to post it. Then again reddit loves drama.
He should just let EG blame him and tarnish his reputation.
I just really hate seeing this sort of thing. In all honesty, I wonder if some realize that what they are doing is essentially shooting themselves in the foot. These drama filled tournaments and growing ever so annoying and makes me doubt the future of E-sports for DotA 2 being truly respected. I am a fan of EG when it comes to Sc II, but I cannot find myself liking them in DotA 2. So, I am not sure what can be done but I hope all the teams that mess about start taking it more seriously, because I want to see DotA 2 grow into an amazing E-sport and not some high-schoo drama hobby.
(the amount of misinformation and I am guesing, prolematic lines of communication needs to be improved some how. The 'he says she says' is not helping).
