it's 45% dps increase
.85 * 1 + .15 * 4
ck's is 20%
.9 * 1 + .1 * 3
juggernaut has the next best crit at 35% bonus damage
.65 * 1 + .35 * 2

the phantom strike make sense

though for the ultimate I read it as :

there's a 15% chance that the attack will do 4x damage

so, if let say the damage is 100 and she attack 2 time per second
the chances for her dps will be 200 (no crit), 500(1 crit 1 normal) or 800 (2 crit)

is this not correct ?

according to playdota, phantom strike is 100% bonus attack speed, not 100.
so at the minimum she will get 100 IAS, but if you have any item which increase attack speed then it will also be added into the phantom strike bonus (with mjolnir, her attack speed will be 360 from 180 instead of 280)

Ah yea, too early in the morning for math for me it appears.
My point was, it's a very mediocre DPS increase.

That's not how DPS works.
You calculate average DPS, not theoretical DPS in a WHAT IF situation. Overall as stated above, it's a 45% dps increase.
I mean theoretically you could crit in 10 hits in a row and then have the highest dps in the game.
Or you could go a whole teamfight with no crits at all.
That's why you judge a skill from the average contribution is does, as in, the average DPS increase it will add.

And that's not how attack speed works either:

Just like BM aura, it says 40% increasd attack speed, but what it really does is just +40 IAS.

Indeed, Phantom strike does increase by 100% according to Dota 2 wiki as well. And since you will always have at least power threads, that should be a very nice speedboost, though 4 hits isn't an amazing amount.

No those 100% are relative to your bat and not to your IAS. So when an item says 100% AS speed it is the same as 100 AS increase, no difference. So Phantom strike won't give you double AS.

no, it used to in dota 2 but it was fixed semi-recently

in dota 1 aa ult works like this
1. store your hp value
2. wait .1 seconds or so
3. check your hp value. if it is greater than the value stored in step 1, set it to the value stored in step 1
4. go to step 1
so no sources of hp regen or healing work

fun thing you can do is swap treads over and over while aa ult is on you
you die really fast

anyways that was a mechanics question not a math one lol

I was semi trolling, about 100 pages ago we had several pages dedicated to this question. Not quite as long as 'ursa OP' but it was one of the big controversies of this thread.

next damage source and u die to aa would make sense
but dota doesn't make sense so i'm not really sure lol

edit: pudge can't deny himself in dota 1, it's probably a bug in dota 2
