I think it plays well into DP's midgame strength, especially part of aggressive line-ups. If DP goes for heart in this case she's weaker than she maximally can be for some of those timings as she's saving up for Reaver. With Bloodstone DP can quickly pad out with +400 HP from Point + Vit booster over the course of 2 ults. And even with Eul's the extra mana does help a bit just to be able to really spam crypt swarm even if you can manage without it. Like what's the worst case game scenario for a DP? Probably not being able to team fight in the midgame (either her or her team). Going for BS seems to be a way to try and make that not happen by offering lots of incremental advantages that she can take advantage off when her ult is off CD. Sure if the team is lopsided in physical damage you can go Shiva's or something and if the game is going to be slow (or you have an overwhelming advantage maybe) you can get heart, but if you have that like slight advantage/even in teamfights BS seems like a good way to give DP some immediate impact to take fights and help her get her job done. The reliance on those timings though is probably why BS in pubs makes much less sense since you aren't necessarily pushing in a coordinated manner everytime your ult is off cd. | ||
