Damn that game was awesome. Its the right level of summer movie stupid that I can get behind. Hideo Kojima is pretty fun, but he needs someone to tell him no or budget him. MGS4 is an amazing piece of fan service and really fun, but its also has some of the worst writing in human creation. I mean, all the bosses are super models in giant robot suits that have been brain washed only for war. Like literally thats what they are, its not hyperbole or anything. He isn't the folks who wrote the last of us. mgs3 was just better. the bosses were just as goofily written but the message was way more interesting i think mgs3 was all about "one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter" while mgr:r was about a good guy murdering hitler. the bad guys in the old mgs games all had tragic backstories about how their drive to make a better world drove them mad. while mgs4 just took that to the emotional extreme by having them all be helpless girls with generic "family was murdered" backstories. totally lame imo /endrant | ||
