It's a misplaced value because of other parts of their life lacking. That's how it was for me in university doing a program I didn't see any fulfillment in. I still get pissed about losing a match if my carry refuses to build BKB until he's six-slotted, but most of the time; I don't really care now.

I think I was overcomplicating it. After thinking about it a little more, it seems like it couldn't be more simple. People don't want to make and admit their mistakes. The ones that succeed are the ones that do. That's why we watch guys like Jacky Mao sometimes and get infuriated. We see his ability and think that it's going to waste. It takes a while, and some experience, to realise that in time he will find his place.

The reason I say that is this: Compare the tournament so far for two teams: Na'Vi and Titan. Both went 8-7 in the groups. Both proceeded to play NewBee in a Bo3 as their first games after the groups. And both lost (titan did better but that's immaterial). However, Na'Vi are in the lower bracket of the main event with $500,000 in the bank already whereas Titan are out with a tenth of that for THE EXACT SAME RESULT. I think it's dumb. H2H is a bad tiebreaker for a few reasons, especially since Titan actually beat Na'Vi in their only actual match. Dumb Dumb Dumb.
