lol, its funny bc they keep trying to plug in some pinoy dota, i heard BR has a pretty good potential market, why dont we get 1 BR team too?
And they really wana get mouz/mTw instead of VP with the legendary vigoss? not sure how they are skipping Next.KZ either...

EHOME and DK are the only Chinese teams that deserve an invite imo. Vigoss is on M5 which is a guaranteed lock for an invite. I'll agree with you about Next.kz though. I love watching those guys play.
The ruminations are mine, let the world be yours.

Oh man, just heard about the new VP line-up. Really glad to see Koroky back with Azen. And I'm also probably one of the biggest Santa fans out there, pretty glad to see he's on a team w/ NS since he probably won't have to play 5 anymore.

I personally believe mouz will get an invite for being one of the fan favourite teams :D

They still might invite Mineski solely based upon appealing to the pinoy community

I hope they don't though, Mineski hasn't been showing the best of results as of late as far as I know.

well consider VP beated coL in the last dream hack qualifier final 2-0 despite playing on USE, they totally gona get a slot if coL is going. Mouz and mTw do has a lot of fans bc they have famous streamers 'sing and synd' but in term of real strength they are still a bit behind. Next.KZ totally gona get an invite but the matter is that can they actually come to US with all the visa issue? If not, who will replace them.

Anyone know Korok's (the ex HoN player) ID? I want to watch some replays of him, but simply searching for "korok" brings up nothing.

mtw hasn't shown themselves to be strong, neither have next.kz. VP and mineski i would consider but not take. I'd rather take darer and duskbin over those respective last 2 simply because they've played some very promising games recently.

i dont predict VP to do well, before the roster was even completed i worried about how well they would do in the long run. all of their players are definitely very high skill, but the huge weakness with this team is that they have no good captain, none of these players have proven themselves to be good at it which is needed with the amount of competition these days. somebody needs to step up otherwise i dont see this roster staying in one piece for a very long time. i've seen teams like this come together and either fail miserably or do very successful.

mineski just lost one of its star players, julz, after a slump by the team. if valve wants a pinoy team, i dont see any reason to invite them over duskin, who had recently soundly beat aeon and took a game off of zenith in a bo3 finals at a LAN.

teams with artstyle as captain have always had a slow start, with that kind of roster he'll come together, never underestimate that guy as captain.

BR teams do exist but they havent made an splash internationally yet. pain has only played a few matches recently, all against unknown teams

i dont think people realize exactly how competitive these slots are.

actually next.KZ constantly made it into semi final/final recently make them a really strong candidate. They however are using very risky strategies and got away with it.

Was angry I couldn't play D3 so I randomed and got bloodseeker. Playing with low skill friends and about halfway through the game I happen to get a DD rune when my team 4v5's and loses. I walk in and 1v5 their team and get a rampage. Dota top 10 worthy?

um ok, we arent even considering DTS, why consider next.kz then?

they are also at the top of the nonpro prodota2 league in europe, along with mtw, but the competition in that ladder is weak. in contrast, the low point of the european pro prodota2 league is m5.

I'm pretty sure Darer or VP will get invited, and it will probably be decided at Dreamhack, whoever will do better there. I would love to see both, but I don't think there's enough space. I'm not really happy about iG being invited. They have played hardly any Dota 2 and it means Valve is planning on inviting quite a few Chinese teams. Don't you think it's a bit unfair, they've been more or less ignoring Dota 2 the whole year...

I don't think Darer will be invited, far from stable enough.
Tobi said having a stable roster was important. Let's wait and see.

Would love for them to be invited though!

Most chinese invites are unfair in fact, even DK or EHOME. But, and this is a big but, the prospect of winning a cool million should make them train seriously, and we can give them the benefit of thinking they'll be good if they train seriously.

Because they don't play or train dota 2 (well, they do for a month or two now) and they're average/bad in the few tournaments we saw them play in. I'd guess they only play dota 2 for TI.

(I'm sure they'll be good for TI, but I can understand why some people say those invites are unfair)

If any of the Chinese invites is unfair, it's the iG one imoimo. Not much to show for atm (in the world of Dota2, ofc). DK and EHOME look competitive enough.
So zen.
