I am also interested in this! Everytime i try to make a group with amtes they all refuse to improve! Probably have better time attempting to find a team.

Third this. I like playing inhouses but I don't feel like I am getting that much better with the current TL ones.

There is no inhouse that is good to ' find a team '
NADL: 95% chance that you will not like it due to people being too ' low skill ' or ' dumb league '. Esahara: Typical euro only circle jerk with people who don't follow rules and almost always want to play cookie cutter with .cl's. Nobody plays alone, it's +2 or +3 majority of the time. IGDL: You won't get in.
Exp: I am/was vouched in NADL/Esahara. It's not an insult to you that you won't get into IGDL, it's just how it is right now. If you wanna find a team, you have to make one through friends. Join a tournament or something with some friends you have. Exposure of yourself is good for a team, but its a very small chance to find a team in a inhouse league.

Wierd thing happened to me today, 0 hp siege creep destroying my base: scrshot

^ I have noticed that many many times. creeps (and possibly heroes) do not die at 0 hp at least sometimes.

Even if they got to TI2, the 1 mil isnt free and they have to compete with teams like Navi, AL or DK Zenith. In the end that 1 mil will have to split in 5 and possibly some % going into team itself. Better off just sign a transfer contract and get some guarantee cash haha :D
Is this about JuLz? IMO, he isn't really a loss for Mineski. They got Nando from MSIevoGT, the 15 year old prodigy, to replace him. I've watched his play, he is really really good. On par with Bimbo/Jay. He needs a little refinement, sure, but he has chemistry with the Mineski team and that's the most important factor. Downside is, I think he has little to no practice in Dota 2. I expect good things from Mineski in the future.

To clarify, it will be ky.xy and Mushi swapping positions to play in Dota 2. Winter, Xtinct, Yamateh, Ice and ky.xy/Mushi. Can't wait to see Yamateh playing Dota again. If PH gets no representative, I'll be cheering for Orange.

Ah alright, why is NADL considered to low level? Is it more on par with high level matchmaking than above it? Because i find that some times in high level i get awesome teams, full coordination and everything.
|
NADL isn't low level. That's why I put it in quotes. It just doesn't fit the image a lot of people have of it before they get in. There's definitely some bad apples in there, but overall the skill is not poor. The problem is that its mostly north americans so you will argue a ton and be relegated to whatever role the captain picks and makes you play. Basically imagine 5 people who think they are somewhat good cuz they were accepted into the league, then these 5 people all have their own vision on how to play the game, they have their own vision of what items/decisions to make, the VAST majority have egos and if you don't follow trends you are flamed non-stop. If you enter a flamewar its more important for them to make you feel bad than focus on the game. For example, when tinker march bugs were still in the game, I saw 1 guy get flamed for 25 mins straight cuz he went laser/rockets like a normal tinker.
I only sign nadl games when some friends or people I recognize as very skilled play. For me its a personal choice since I'm not really a inhouse grinder type person, I'd rather play with people I know.
You will be flamed a lot harder since there's more record keeping, points, and people will remember your name.
I guess you can make some connections, try out for a team....I know how it is, back in dota1 I had to come from scratch too to join a bunch of leagues and get a profile to be able to get into all the leagues that went up and down almost quarterly. It's just how competitive dota is. All the up and coming/established NA teams played together for years.
The only league I played a LOT was original ihcs/idec. There was a high emphasis on manner and skill. People didn't abuse bot and it was just fun cuz lots of big names played regularly.

I have mentioned this before, but there is the relatively new Oceanic Dota 2 League that was set up. I don't know how the skill level compares to other leagues though. While called "Oceanic," pretty sure anyone can join provided that you are up to standard. All games are played on USW unless the server is down.
There are a few main problems for people wanting to play in ODL:
1. Because 99% of players are AUS/NZ, majority of games will be played during nighttime in these countries (no idea how this lines up with the rest of SEA/USA).
2. It's not extremely active atm
3. The skill level varies a lot from player to player. The main problem is there are many "hogs" who don't play support a lot (some are good, some not so good), though I'm willing to wager that this can be the case in any IH league. In saying that, there are definitely very good players that do play here (from teams aL, BP and sqL if you pay attention to Gigabyte Masters)
As Ack1027 notes, not sure if there is a "good" league for finding a team. I think to do this you have to post on forums (such as Joindota recruitment forum) or get on good terms with players in any IH league (impress them with your play or something ). Maybe we could start up a "recruitment" thread for the Dota 2 forum here?

I think someone should do that.. and not just for serious teams. I'd really like to find a group of people to play with where you wouldn't get your head bitten off for fucking up

Anyone know how the abandonment rules work? I just played a game where enemy team picked Ursa/SK/Lich. I got my team to go to Roshan and we managed to stop their Lvl 1 Roshan, at which point SK and Ursa immediately left. The game immediately recorded that as an early abandon and said that stats didn't count, but in the end the Huskar on our team stayed in the game and won it, and now it's displayed in my recent games, and I think I ended up getting the win.
I thought if someone left before the first minute then the game wouldn't count? Not that I'm complaining as we deserved that win, but I'm just curious as to how the abandonment rules work because it seems like the game is saying one thing and doing another. Either way there should definitely be a way to enforce a loss on people who just leave if their level 1 roshan fails. It's like 4 pooling on ladder and then leaving and getting a draw if it fails, so bm.

Their leaving doesn't count as a lost game. It counts as an abandoned game. Too many abandoned games and their wait times get longer IIRC.

It does count as a loss as well in addition to abandoned. I don't know why you got the win I think I've gotten a win a similar way before, but it shouldn't count.

A major ISP in Australia (Optus) reroutes all internet traffic that is not sent to a location within Australia to the United States first (something along those lines, I'm not a tech expert but you get the idea hopefully). Hence, for people using this ISP, if we were to use SEA server then it basically goes AUS ===> US ===> SEA. Hence, USW is the best server for us. When I played a bit of TLIH I played on EU server and even that had a better ping than SEA (though I think SEA servers are a bit better now for Optus, USW/USE are still superior by far). It's the same for people playing SC2 I believe (US is better than SEA) and most likely all other games.

I think I would be interested in this SEA league. I play USW mostly (live on the west coast) so it might be worth a shot.
