One thing that's driven me insane is people just find my steam ID and start randomly friendrequesting me spamming for keys, it just doesn't make sense, if the beta were at a point where there were enough keys given out that people would just hand them out to people they've never talked to, then we wouldn't be running into the situation in the first place. Just do what everyone else had to do to get a key, win a contest, or know somebody who knows someone. If you can't do either of those then just be patient. | ||

When we've already exhausted those avenues (trying for giveaways / contests, asking friends etc) it doesn't hurt to ask in a non-spammy way, especially since a new wave of beta invites is upcoming. What if someone has an invite or two, but none of their friends enjoy the Dota genre? This is TL, and you'd be surprised when people on forums have spare things laying around... wouldn't be the first time I've gotten something free, or given something free based off of random generosity. Seems like you've been soured by too many people harassing you. | ||

Thats going to be how it is it looks like if there's a massive invite coming where each of them will get invite keys available, I remember when gmail and google+ was in beta, everyone basically have too many keys lying around with no use. Of course it's disrespectful to spam people for keys, we're just suggesting for those with no friends to share the key with those not so lucky or non-VIPs | ||

Also, some people's friends will have also got into the beta already through some other means, hopefully, plenty of keys to go around. One can only hope though, I'm waiting patiently for a key from valve, though once Skyrim is out won't be in such a hurry to get one. | ||
