EG has a history of poaching a Liquid player, IE HuK.
That actually doesn't make sense either. EG has a history of doing this thing one time and that time the player was HuK. That's just such an awkward way to say 'one time EG signed a player from Liquid, and maybe Alex is looking to do so now.'

EG has a history of poaching, I.e. a liquid player Huk. Another example of poaching is Puma from TSL, which caused a huge uproar at the time.

"Poaching" of course meaning offering a player, who isn't signed to a contract of any sorts, a really good deal and a chance to get out of a team he wasn't happy in.
Because that's what happened with Puma.
And HuK wasn't "poached." HuK chose to sign with EG and not renew his contract with Liquid. What's shady about that?

That's grammatically better and conveys your meaning. It's still wrong, in my opinion, both in the general and in the specific. This thread probably isn't the place to argue about such things, though.
On topic, if Na'Vi changes their lineup, a lot of dominos are going to fall and the CIS shakeup will be awesome to see. We might come out of it with some really interesting, really skilled teams. I'm also really hopeful to see some of the old/new Danish players like Balsam and Calculus come back. Dota isn't the same without a really good Danish team. And what about Xoynoznu? Might there be enough available players for QPandas to pull something together, even without Sing?

EG has a history of throwing money at players that will grow their brand, by bringing in more stream viewers, when their current contracts run up. - Is that better? Mike has a decent following and can be polarizing for some people. This sounds like something plausible although I don't know if mike would really make an "all star" lineup that people talk about. He's a damn good support, but not elite.
|
If I were running a team, one of the big draws of Mike for me would be his ixdl connections. I bet you could do some really cool things with that. He's also, by most accounts, available without much fuss. I think the basic assumption for EG is something like Fear and Jeyo stay, Demon and bdiz retire and Bamboe is kicked. If that's the case you need to replace your offlane and both supports. Mike is definitely good enough provided other equally skilled players come in. I imagine EG being very happy with a post-shuffle lineup of Fear, Jeyo, Brax, 1437 and ixmike.

And ya, i dont even know how the hell navi got this far with a team like that (yes it was because of puppey), how i wish if [A] didnt derp with their drafting of game2/3 and made a 3:0. You wanna see real good support that these pro players dream to have, look no further than akke/egm. Goddamn i said i would cut kuroky some slack since he really did well for navi in Game3 (but take a sec and think about it, game was going evenly at about 30mins, he just did what he could and it was a common timing of a dagger, they won that half thanks to puppey and half thanks to [A]'s 'funny' line up). + Show Spoiler +And no i seriously i dont hate any player i just say whatever that's true. Well said. And just take a look at Faith, he can make those 'sick plays' while being piss poor. What a fucking player he is.

Thank you for this. A perfect highlight of why Kuroky, at heart, is still a carry player.

It also matters where you get your farm. [A] uses space and the jungle to get farm on supports better than other teams.

Might add that the HoN team Absolute Legends appears to be switching to Dota 2. I assume they will be AL's new Dota 2 squad. Fnatic 2.0? Anyone know anything about this squad?

Anyone know anything about this squad? I just watched the guy who made the reddit post stream for a few minutes. They are extremely raw it really looks like they just started playing. If they are ever going to be anything in Dota 2 they will have to go through the same growing pains Fnatic did when they hardly took a game off a B-tier team for some months after switching.

This is bad if XBOCT (4) was serious. But knowing XBOCT, probably just XBOXING.

They finished top2-6 in all the HoNTour cycles pretty much, didn't qualify for HTS1 finals and couldn't make Dreamhack? Something like that.
Probably 5 of the top ~10 NA HoN players. They probably can do well if they apply themselves, but it'll take time.
Their captain and mid player Kookiez has an extremely high MMR (he was #1, but I believe he's #2 now as he lost a game due to someone on his team throwing/trolling)

Rumors among Russian insiders is that VP -Crazy +God, Goblak might also join. Na`Vi will get rid of Puppey and Kuroky unless Zerogravity manages to settle all the bitter. Right now they aren't even eating together.

Well, if that's the case, Na'Vi will need a new 4 player and a captain. A Ukrainian, maybe, with a sick nasty Enchantress. Welcome back to Dota, ArtStyle.
