I will see whether i encounter situations where having leap or charge would be an advantage in todays play. Earthquake would have to be thrown out for it, wouldn't it?

I'm really happy to see Skyr's belial kill because it proves there is a lot of variance in barb builds. I myself can nearly AFK through ACT2 and my build is completely different and I have only about 300 Life on Hit. This is good news for us barbs, variety = win.
As for my farming I've either been doing 5 stack NV Seigebreaker (ACT3) or Solo Iskatu (ACT4) runs over and over. Haven't gotten anything lately but gold. Oh I'll also tag alone for Wymshire cloud runs. Basically a couple DH friends of mine solo pony level then we get 4 people in the game with full MF on (at least 220 per person) and pop all the clouds/chests/pinatas etc., it's very, very nice. Do 0 work and get a nice chance at some reward. :D

Seems like a toss-up between extra damage and slow, I'm still experimenting with it myself so I'm not sure.

extra damage for sure on earthquake. when you blow those 2M CD (especially after ACT2) you're doing it to blow something the fuck up as much as you possibly can before dying. You will never really use earthquake to kite anything.

Yes, but the bane of earthquake is mobs that like to kite you.

I'm only in act 1 myself with bad gear, but I really love the double shout + wrath build. Wrath with frenzy and the crit splash rune basically makes it so that you can focus the main bad guy and he should be dead by the time wrath is over. Ignore pain is as a panic button. 2min cd is no problem as you only use it vs rares
The best thing about wrath seems to be cc immunity

Last night I beat Diablo on Inferno (with WD and Monk as partners) and I thought I would share my build.
Frenzy - maniac (hate to rely on the RNG of sidearm TBH)
Leap - death from above (interrupt diablo abilities/easy getaway from shadow clones)
Ground Stomp - Wrenching Smash (to pull the clones slightly farther away from the squishy people)
Sprint - Marathon (I feel like this is such an underrated ability overall mainly because there is no way I can get hit by any mechanics and there is no way that the clones can ever catch up to me)
Threatening Shout - Intimidate (I use this after ground stomp on the clones to slow them down. Demoralize is also a good choice)
War Cry - Impunity (obvious choice for the resists)
Passives
I chose the 3 very obvious choices which are Tough as Nails, Superstition, and Nerves of Steel.
This is a very specific build that I use for only Diablo and Azmodan (and possibly Belial)
On a normal clear I will switch out Ground Stomp for Wrath of the Beserker with Insanity, Sprint for Revenge with Provocation, and Leap for Charge with Dreadnought. When just doing act 1 and 2 I will also switch out Threatening Shout for Earthquake with The Mountain's Call.
Hope this helps people.
Just as a side note, these builds work best when using a stat priority (loosely based on) Resist All > Vitality > Strength (very general not to be taken strictly).

don't know how to get screen shots working. ... guess i'll just post stats. if anyone can help to post ss please say so!
all res between 530-600 with shout. dps 6.4 k = \ 36 k hp 433 life on hit 72% dmg reduction from armor 13% melee reduction from SoE
Hi, i've been going over and over and over these forums for a week or two. now i'm in inferno, farming butcher, and am looking at moving towards Act 2. I am wondering how you guys balance your stats effectively while keeping resistances high? what stats do i need to be looking for? what build should i be doing? any feedback is welcomed. i'm getting rofl'd in act 2 by those damn wasps

If I was to guess, your weapon probably sucks, I'd buy a new one.

man im hitting a rock wall of owning in mid act2 now.
stats:
17.5k dps ~70% armor reduction ~450allres (phys bit higher) 51khp ~18% dodge (+14%melee dmg reduction from string)
and like evry single elite pack plain ownes me. they get to me and i lose 40k hp in under a second.
i can laugh at 99% of what act1 throws at me and can tank the butcher forever(and basicly soloed him in a 3player game cause both buddys died early) but act1 early is damn hard and now its close to impossible. i dont know what to do at this point since 1 slot upgrade costs 1-5mill already and act1 farming is quite stupid with the shitton of level 50 stuff you get.

I'm finishing up hell and since Nightmare I've been using a variation of this build. I can't find anything else that works. Lvl53
Frenzy with Stun rune (Or Bash with reverberation if I'm using a 2h) Hammer of the ancients with Stun rune Furious Charge with Lower Cooldown Ground Stomp with Wrenching Smash Warcry with Extra life Wrath of the Berzerker with Insanity
Superstition, pound of flesh and whatever else
The build has a lot of stuns, easy fury generation, an escape/aoe skill and a really good rage dump. Hammer does a boat load of damage and combined with Wrath I can make some really nice crits.
I don't know if it will work in Inferno, we'll see I guess.

It should be either your Resist being low or your build is bad or both. 17.5K dps is quite high for ACT 2 I imagine. I just started ACT 2, up to the Oasis now with 500 resist 39K HP 9.8K DPS(12K at full fury). I can kill elite packs ok now but still have to run from 60% of them 20% I can kill after a few revive and straight up kill the easy 20% .

Shikyo, this is your second character, correct? And your first character is capable of providing you with money/gear from farming A2/A3 Inferno?
I'd actually say your stats are pretty lopsided TBH. You've probably over-pumped resists relative to armor (the balance point is somewhere around having the equal % damage reductions from both). Rather have life on hit than lifesteal also, for reasons already stated in the thread. Judging by your DPS, your weapon is also probably significantly better than what most A1-capable Barbs are comfortable shelling out for.

What blue rings are those? Pure damage rings or +str/vita rings?

I had 1.5mil with that char and I've actually made 400k more on this one so you can almost consider that I have had no funding, apart from high level gems for faster leveling etc.
I prefer lifesteal because that way I can heal like 5k an attack from range against a lot of mobs and I also like how the crit splash from Wrath makes me almost invulnerable when against a huge clump of monsters. It will also scale later on.
If I need more armor I can just use some defensive passives, that pumps it up to 8300. I haven't really paid attention to it at all.
My weapon is a normal 761.8 DPS axe with 42% crit, last time I checked those were like 50k.
They are 15% aspd 59 str rings, 20k each. I told you I need to buy new rings.
Well Vitality is going to hopefully come from a couple of the 5 items I told you suck balls x_x Sigh

you need ARMOR and VITALITY for gods sake. i totally agree with what theyango said and wanna add: you probably use crit / dmg passives as well! AND a 780dmg / crit axe is NOT 50k...
but ty guys, i didnt have any "heal on hit" thusfar, have to search for items with it! ty!

oh another thing i wanna mention:
most ppl talk about killing bosses with their barbs, when the aim should be to kill and tank groups of elites as good as possible to farm with 5 nephalem. ofc you can use fun builds with sprint and leap to kill diablo in a group, but thats not the point of a barbarian imo oO
