If Tasteless can channel his old self, it ought to be similar to Taseless and lil-susie in Season 2 of GOMtv classics (though admittedly, lil'susie is very easy to understand.) Not knowing all the ins and outs of all the casters applied, this seems to be a decent temporary arrangement. Kelly gets to be mentored and Tasteless and Artosis gets a break from casting 5-8hrs a day. In addition, it maintains some continuity from the previous seasons. It might have been too great a 'culture shock' switching from Tastosis to two entirely different casters.' With a little more continuity, the transition hopefully will be a little more smooth while Kelly finds her feet and GOM can eventually find the second (or even 3rd caster). Here's to hoping. | ||

What kind of sick thinking is that? You're doing a poor job hiding your very own resentment behind your girlfriend and "women everywhere". These Kelly threads are sickening. This is not a community, it's a mob in the worst sense of the word. If Kelly actually shows up for the job in spite of the shitstorm, she'll already have proven more balls than many of you haters who think of GOM as your personal servants will ever have. | ||

This i would have to say is one of the better statements I've read in this thread. looking at the old videos you can see shes gotten better. thats a good sign. it means there is hope she can make meaningful comments that people can understand. its probably best we all sit back and wait for her to give it a shot before coming to a conclusion. if your concerned and don't know if you want to support gom with your money as a result of this decision, you can watch the live stream and get an idea of how she sounds and if you can understand what she is saying. give it a few shows before coming to a conclusion. if you can't stand it, then try the day passes. you can then enjoy the Tastosis casts of Code s and avoid the Code a casts with kelly. in other words, hope for the best and prepare for the worst. for the record, the one video where she is casting some green screen with odd blobs(aka not starcraft) thats horrible and i can't understand but 2 words out of either of the casters. the other video of starcraft, shes much better but still difficult for me to understand at times. I think she gets a little too excited and tries to talk out an entire thought process rather than doing short descriptive comments. if she can shorten it up and make an effort to speak clearly, she should be fine. lets hope thats the case. | ||

Even on her twitter, she talks about how hard she is going to "try to improve" and other statements that sound unsure and not confident. If she was as good as everyone who thinks she is going to do well, she'd say I am good enough to cast the GSL and will be able to fill the shoes GOM has given to me. This isn't some random tournament that needs average casters wanting to improve, this is the GSL Code A, one class under the most prestigious Starcraft 2 tournament in the World. I am hopeful that she does improve as much as she hopes she does, but I will be a cynic and doubt her success until Feb. 22. | ||

Tasteless and Artosis will take turns casting with Kelly "kellyMILKIES" Ong Xiao Wei for GSL March Code A. Actually, that sounds very entertaining to me^^. Artosis and kellyMILKIES casting together? Thats a combination never would have thought about 2 weeks ago. kellyMILKIES: "blabla" Artosis: "No, you are wrong" ... Of course Artosis would never say something like this directly, he is to professional for that. But still, gonna be funny! | ||

Kelly has been casting and commentating for local live tournaments and WCG/ESWC/WGT qualifiers for CS1.6, WC3, and DOTA since 2006. IN SC2, she is best known for her commentary on live games, especially in the SEA/ANZ scene. She has commentated at SMM 2010, Blizzard Invitational SEA/ANZ region to name a few. They failed to mention that all these events especially the DOTA casting got so much bad press that the tournament almost fell over. Kelly might be a nice person but she does not belong in the most prestiges (at least atm) SC2 tournament out there. She simple cant handle the English language well enough to be entertaining. This GOM announcement was a HUGE let down. The only Coda A games I'll watch now are Rets games. | ||
