Now I really wish Idra was in Korea. Then we good potentially see Idra (brought to you by Intel) play SlayerS Boxer (brought to you by Intel) at the GSL (brought to you by Intel).

I posted about this in the February StarCraft 2 General Discussion thread a couple days ago.
Before the GSL March page was actually "officially" up and it wasn't linked yet, it said it was the Intel GSL March. Then, the next day, the page went up and Intel was nowhere to be found on the page.
I had thought maybe they pulled their sponsorship or something but now I actually don't have any explanation whatsoever.

What? What Terran balance patch? The rumors on the Blizz forums? I think those are fake.
Do you have any evidence though?

meh the band sucks. like the crap Britney songs.
Some more techno, rock or instrumental band/singer/group would be better, but that is just my own personal opinion.

Sponsors are always a great thing to hear ^.^ I'm really glad Intel is supporting esports so much. The kpop news is less good, though.

The day I see the first Pepsi GSL, or Coca Cola GSL, or even the Cadbury GSL, is the day I'll be super fucking happy. FYI, they had a Coca-Cola OSL. http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/2001_Coca-Cola_OSL

Intel? SNSD comes to mind. But no, Secret. ;_; Oh well, at least it's a step on the right direction..!

If they had SNSD performing, I'd buy 9 premium tickets. Just saying.

OSL ongamenet starleague, aka BW GSL=SC2
see the difference?

I don't think there really is a difference in terms of the actual GSL. Companies sponsor major events in an effort to advertise their own company more; its essentially a huge billboard for them to make money.

I just found it funny that he mentioned the possibility of a "Coca Cola GSL" when there had already been a Coca Cola OSL.
Considering that Pepsi is a co-sponsor of GSL and that Coke already has had experience with SC, it's not too far-fetched too see them go farther with their sponsorships. Heck, considering that Hite, sponsor of Hite Entus, is a beer company, it would be awesome and funny to see more beverage companies try their hand at sponsoring SC.

Edit:nvm nasl it's irrelevant in this thread This is great news! The more sponsors are interested in the gsl the better it gets ^^! Also kpop => genuine starleague lol.
|
I would say there's a difference for the GSL, i.e. the contract with Sony wasn't as 'big' as the contract with Intel, otherwise I don't see there any any incentives for GOMtv to change their sponsor that often (unless the contract itself runs out, we don't even know how long the sponsorship lasts..could me only for 1 month/1 GSL).

Haven't Intel been sponsoring them since the TGSambo-Intel Open Season 1? I see the Intel logo on Tastosis' desk every night.

Oh my god - Secret AND Starcraft?!?!
Definitely getting another season ticket for sure.

Dhalphir likely had BW Starleagues in mind. That's why it looks silly for you to let him know about Coca-Cola's sponsorship.
