It's an interesting thought, intel sponsoring a tournament. Once SC2 gets to a reasonable size, if GSL is profitable for them, they could expand their sponsorship to the US (well, they already sponsor a lot of stuff, but to be a more primary sponsor)

Though this is a huge step for GSL/SC2/SC2Korea, great news. They may sponsor again in the future. I think it works exactly the same way OSL and MSL work. You have the Bacchus OSL, the Korean Air OSL, Ever OSL, etc. Every tournament can have a different sponsor, although that doesn't necessarily mean it will.

The super bowl wouldn't be so super if there wasn't a half time show, it would just be a bowl, and a starleague isn't a star without a kpop group, it's just a league! Also, it's great to see a corporation as big as intel sponsoring the GSL. going off the last few years i would LOVE a superbowl that didnt have a half time show.... not sure if that affects your analogy or not

An aside: I have a hunch that Intel is also sponsoring whatever Inc's big announcement is, so essentially everyone should run out and buy an i7 asaply. yeah go buy it, i'm working at intel and i want more $$ ![]()

![]() That said, Intel makes excellent processors, but they cost $. If you're on budget, AMD is way better. ;p

I'm definitely excited about seeing a kpop group get involved with the SC2 scene but I'm sad that we won't be seeing IU; although I'm sure she's incredibly busy with her drama ^^ But regardless, this seems like fantastic news for the E-sports community; whether you like Secret or not, having Secret perform will definitely increase SC2's visibility.
