Awesome seeing Intel coming back and sponsoring GSL March, though does this imply that Sony isn't going to be the sponsor this season?

Nevertheless, Intel has been a long supporter of e-sports after sponsoring past GSLs, the old GOM Classic BW tournament, and SlayerS_BoxeR, so it's great seeing them again.

Also, I'm very interested in seeing more Kpop in GSL. Perhaps having Secret perform at the GSL finals will draw a bigger crowd. Considering that they had IU announce player names in previous GSLs, perhaps they will have Secret do the same.

either Sony Ericsson was no longer interested in sponsoring GSL and GOM accepted whatever bid Intel gave them (bad outcome) or Intel outbid Sony Ericsson to sponsor GSL (good outcome)
E-Sports is competitive video gaming with a spectator fan base. Do not take the word "Sports" literally.

Kpop is the secret to success in ESPORTS.

Stepping towards BW's success every day. New Ladder Maps, more Terran balance patch, tons of GSL seasons, and NASL? I'm excited!

Me to!

Intel is so sick, they are a top hardware manufacturer who supports e-sports. I need a new motherboard and cpu, I am going Intel.

As one of the PonyTale issues says, we really shouldn't get too excited about a company like Intel sponsoring the GSL. What we really want is more mainstream companies sponsoring it, because it will mean the GSL has attracted enough mainstream attention for them to justify it.

The day I see the first Pepsi GSL, or Coca Cola GSL, or even the Cadbury GSL, is the day I'll be super fucking happy.

Aren't we all doing that? The whole of TL.net should cover at a good chunk of the western world population. Good move from Intel.

You know, Intel has been sponsoring a lot of eSports and SC2 in particular lately. I have to say that I've been really impressed with them. Keep it up, Intel!

I'm already of the opinion that Intel is the way to go for processors, but now they've cemented my loyalty with all they've been doing and the desktop I get soon will definitely have an Intel processor.

Glad to see intel being involved in E-sports more. I think they sponsored like season 1 also.

Umm PepsiCo has already been cosponsoring GSL.

you're the man LOL
I've always recommended intel too (although I'm not really a computer guy) but it's because I have friends working at both intel and AMD, and they have discussed that intel is ahead for the next few years to come.

I think it means how does switching from one incredibly rich sponsor to another incredibly rich sponsor effect the end product (if there is any effect at all).

(Hooray?)

I was just wondering if Intel is better sponsor than Sony

Nice move, Intel Sometimes I had wondered if advertising really is worth the money they spend, but then I got this "I gotta buy Intel" -urge that made me realize...yes, things like this pay off.
