great game, couldn't ask for anything more, except maybe lebron chalking up 50pts with the game winner lol. if that last shot had gone in it'd be pretty crazy too

(they were really important if i remember correctly) the guy is a monster but orlando also has other favorable matchups. both conference finals are gonna be intense. I don't know, man. I knew it would get ugly when he turned into a black hole in the 3rd. Yeah, it's great that he makes those shots but he shouldn't have been taking them in the first place. He didn't even do any work to get those shots, he just held the ball and threw up a jumper than had a 50% chance of going in.

Lebron made some questionable plays but his FG % was still 66%. which is more than you can ask for from any player to make in a conference finals playoff game. His FT% has always been the weakest part of his game (and it's not like he's Shaq at them). So yes if he works on his technique and can hit from the line with deadly accuracy he will truly be the best all around player in the game. (Which most give him credit for already considering his insane stats and play this playoffs). You kind of want to pin it on him when he makes bad plays but for instance at the end of the third, you saw him look left and look right, and nobody was moving to produce something. They were looking to him to do something. Like he can move their damn feet for them and make them hustle. They shouldn't just expect him to shoot. And if they do set up a screen or something. The camera zoomed in and he was looking for movement then looked up at the rim saying, 'well fuck it, time to shoot'.

funny how when that happens to Kobe he's selfish, but when it happens to Clevland LeBron isn't getting any help

O_O;; 2008 finals, during the 4th quarter I remember them saying Kobe looks exhausted. Just because the average person can play two hours of pickup doesn't mean that elite basketball players should be able to play 48 minutes of high level basketball. When LeBron had that great, great game in Game 5 and he said how tired he was. After that game that I had, it was a month before I could walk straight. I was so tired. I don’t know if you’ve ever been that tired where you feel like your bones are aching, but when he said he was really tired, I knew exactly what he was talking about. From Bill Russell's 2007 playoff blog. http://www.nba.com/playoffs2007/news/billrussell_postseason.html Along with Experience in the playoffs is overemphasized. The only experience that really counts is the experience you’ve had against the team that you’re going to be playing. By the time you get to The Finals, you’ve gotten through three series. You’re an experienced playoff player. To say that one team has more experience, that is overrated. and As A Team, You Play The Way You Play People like to point out all kinds of reasons for why teams lose. Some will say, well, they missed too many free throws. That is overblown. You play the way you play. If you’re a bad free throw shooting team and still win, then you can win with missed free throws. Nobody is going to play a perfect game. There are going to be things that you don’t do well, so you’ve got to win in spite of those. Like on the boards, you can get outrebounded and still win because it’s only one part of the game.

i don't know if cleveland are too dejected after this loss though, they have room to improve and orlando did have a hot shooting game. rashard lewis had no problems getting open on varejao. i think if the cleveland shooters present enough of a threat it mightn't be a bad idea to go with lebron on lewis at the 4, i'd like to see how that works

However, we usually don't see this from Lebron. When he took a lot of those shots, he didn't have guys wide open saying, 'GIMME DA BALL'. They sat around and didn't run around the floor trying to create a play.

and it's hard to criticize a guy after he puts up 49pts and goes 20/30. apart from the occasional retarded heatcheck you can generally rely on lebron not to force it too much, hes always been a willing passer and the shots he took today were mostly open. whereas you can't deny kobe can get tunnel vision and take some tough shots when he doesn't need to
