I think comments like these posted really undermine klazart's cause. They just come across as plain silly. And unfortunately for the folks at Authonomy, the guy is right. You can't win a flame war against these guys. On a more general level, the literal words of the FAQ quoted by Klazart may be said to legitimise his actions. But I doubt that the creators of the site ever envisioned a mini internet celebrity with thousands of fans to use the mechanism of the site to up vote his work without reading his work or any others (or if they have, to vote it up regardless of its merits). I can definitely see why some of the people are so pissed, given that their trying to get published, yet their work is being marginalised by Klazart's even without anyone reading either klazart's or theirs. But they don't commentate on starleague games. Klazart's voice is annoying? Clearly, some find it so. I don't (admittedly his accent is pretty strange). Many don't. I think his delivery is exciting and passionate, without which I'll lose interest within minutes. Lastly, Gilbert Godfrey is a paid professional. Klazart is not. He does it as a hobby, and many of his fans like it. | ||

Anyway, my 2 cents on the ongoing debate about Klazart's voice. I never really found it a big deal. I mean, as long as you can understand someone clearly, what else do you actually care for? I actually like his commentary to a certain extent, even if he has no knowledge about starcraft and is wrong often. As someone has said, he's probably the only commentator who's really enthusiastic about watching the game. It's pretty much in complete contrast with someone like Artosis, who's deadpan voice makes it sounds like an education video. I love the insight, but can't exactly get excited about. | ||

What i think he should have done in the video was say something along the lines of "Hey, I've been writing a new book, if you have time why don't you come check it out at '...' and if you like it, shelve it!" A vid like this would have been perfectly legitimate as it would have been impossible to draw enough attention to a run-in-the-mill book sitting at 2000+ place on its own with no starting fanbase. Now its blown up and everyone's unhappy =( | ||

As for complains they are legitimate, youtube sc commentaries have nothing to do with aim of the authonomy site. Klazart is breaking they system that was done to select book that most people liked, not one that was voted by the biggest group of friends that did not even read the book. | ||

When I was reading the first few pages here I was like "people don't like Klazart?" I love his stuff! He's so passionate and speaks are 400WPM, it's awesome! | ||
