It's nice to have someone pointing out the basic stuff happening on screen. The action can be pretty fast sometimes. It's like having a soccer commentator pointing out who the hell has the ball and who's he passing it too - yes, I can see for myself usually, but sometimes I'm not sure. Ok, don't want to belabour the point. Enough from me on this. I'm sure many people out there started watching Progamers in similar fashions as I did. Although Klazart, Cholera, and the plethora of other English commentators out there lack the knowledge and strategic insight as a skilled player such as InControl, they integrate thousands of clueless gamers into Broodwar. Although I don't enjoy English commentaries nearly as much as I once did, I still have respect for the people who take the time and effort out of their busy lives to welcome countless strangers into Broodwar. I can't see why that is a bad thing, and all of the poeple flaming Klaz are as idiotic as their flames.

Obviously what he did was marginally against the spirit of the competition, but in no ways did it actually break any rules. I don't know if these people are naive or overly sheltered, but any adult should be able to understand what went on and why it was not cheating. I suppose none of them have ever asked their friends or family to vote for their books? And less of the old! I prefer yummy-mummy, thank you.

How come this thread has gone so quiet? Authonomy's broken, so you'll can't be there.

He is not tasteless or artosis or chill. He does not consistently provide correct strategical insight. He is not the most dedicated or passionate Starcraft player or fan. However, he has an unrivaled ability to convey passion and enthusiasm for Starcraft. This is the kind of talent that one would expect from a writer. Personally I became interested in Starcraft by watching him, started lurking TL.net, and went to iccup where I became C-. Now if I go back and listen to his commentaries they bother me for the same reasons they bother many other players that are as good or much better than myself. However, I continue to respect and admire klazart for inspiring me to take up the game. I wish that he commanded a little more respect on teamliquid. I don't think he ever claimed to know very much about the game, but the amount of love he receives from his many youtube fans should convince everyone that he is a valuable part of the community. I got to TL due to him as well. Therefore it hurts to see fellow TL-ers bash on him.

I'm sure that site will be up again soon too, I doubt TL members killed it permanently.
