and if something is underground you probably haven't heard it if you like mainstream shit. If you have, it's probably not underground but claims to be or used to be. Sage Francis, Buck 65, Atmosphere, Josh Martinez, Necro, Immortal Tech, Zion I, Living Legends, etc. I do not consider these groups/MCs underground at all. As every teenager has heard of them. Like I could list all my favorite MCs and I would bet 95% of them you guys have never even heard of. And would probably change your mind about underground sucking or whining or whatever. But I'm not going to because you're being closed minded, so why should I share? | ||

And to be honest, I'd be more welcoming to people who like IT, Atmosphere, etc. because those artists are creating a LOT more interest in "real" hip-hop. Where the lyrics actually mean SOMETHING and while the message might not be exactly how you like it or their lyrics precisely on point, they're still creating buzz in the industry and helping struggling artists make a living doing what they love. I'd think everyone who loves hip-hop and music in general should be for that. | ||
