it's nice that you've come back to cheer on nony, but there's clearly a several year gap where you've no clew what the fuck happened in the foreigner scene

Really I think the foreigner scene has gone nowhere but down if Testie became the best ....... A lot of good players must have quit

That calls for Liquibition!

Welcome back. Yea, you missed a lot with Testie. There was a point where he was going around to every LAN available and beating everyone's ass in. There was almost no doubt that he was the best at one point (and no everyone didn't suck). The foreigner scene has gone far, it's just that the koreans keep pulling further ahead unfortunately.

There was always doubt and some other contenders around. Yes he was a top player for a long time, but was he ever the best foreigner? One can doubt it, since he has never dominated major tournaments.

By dominating major tournaments I mean winning tournaments without koreans or doing considerably better than other foreigners at WCG or other tournaments with koreans. Grrr... Elky and Draco(PGL) did that.

He was second at WCG, that´s just as good (apart from being OSL semifinalist). There was little doubt about him being the best foreigner back then.

Is that a joke? When i used to play seriously i considered a maximum of 3 to be very good, some decent and some not even a challenge.
Unlike you i dont have losing records against more then 1 or 2 on that list.

Elky was never the best foreigner. What he did in WCG was certainly impressive, but there were still some foreigners that he would lose to.

So what? Boxer lost to Nazgul, Didi and Froz, he was still the best at that time. You can argue against that all night, I made my point clear.

aka?!? and honestly I don't believe the competition today is nearly as good as it was back then, most of the very good players quit when they turned 18 and went on to other things... so you really think Nony is A LOT better than every player on that list?? or maybe he was just one of the few oldschool players that stuck with the game and he became the #1 active usa player...

You have played alot of good players and although you don't know me, I know your name from being in the community since 2002.

You know nothing about non-korean starcraft. Listing hovz, sadist, day, fayth, corbalt, pride, rekrul, midian and eriador as a response to playing with top non-koreans is fucking rediculous. They were each good players at a certain time, and for a while rekrul was fucking sick, but get real dude non of them were ever at the top of the food chain.

Don't rejoin a community (if thats what your doing) after all these years and think you have any clue about who is what or was what or did what. You don't know shit about our world until you educate yourself.

All I was saying is drop the ignorant shit, testie redeemed himself long ago. The dude is fucking random and played a ZvP against foru that was 40 minutes long and he could have won. I mean you are talking about a guy who literally sat at the top few spots of the non-korean rung for at least 3 years.

If you were ever a truely amazing gamer, the newer members of the community would have heard of you, but they haven't so chill out.

No player on this earth who played in 2004 or 2005 is as good as even the top non-koreans are right now.... dude this game is fucking sick now once you get beyond B level on iccup. I mean sick sick sick, like the average good gamer from 2004 after they learned that everything they new was wrong or done wrong and relearned all of those things would still have to achieve more technical skill then even the players who made them look rediculous back then.

Nony isnt oldschool from what i know?

I think some of the players on the list would be better then Nony had they continued to play, 12-13 of those you mentioned weren't even near the top foreigners in THEIR prime so i see no reason why the would be better/more talented then a player who clearly has the dedication and intellect to be among the best foreigners.

in what year? like 2004? dude, if you compared how they played back then to now, they would be below average players. The game has evolved so much since then.

Your wins mean nothing in today's game dude. But you don't need to listen to me, get on iccup (the main starcraft competitive ladder), and see how good people are.

the only thing I said is that when I played Testie in 03 or 04 he was nothing more than a former hacker who never won offline....who always for some reason had a big reputation... I guess he got a lot better after that but when I played him I was beating him with 3 gate zealot rush in PvP... and beating him again another game i remember with me as ZERG vs him protoss... so how can you expect me to think that TESTIE happened to be the person who rose to the top after playing those games with him where I was winning with cheese strats and offraces? and I watched nooks beat him time after time and even win a bo5 for 50$ once 3-0.... back then he wasn't nearly as good to be considered #1 foreigner but I guess he got better.

Slayer was the top foreigner for every day that he played this game seriously (he was also the best player in the world for a decent part of this duration).
After him i'd say Saft was the best foreigner, much closer to judge though and some people like Nazgul, Daaman etc was definately close.
After them i'd have to give it to Testie/Mondi/Draco.

You mentioned 2 of them, and the only other player in your list that could ever claim to have been among the top3 foreigners is Smuft.

A hint that might enlighten you is that the good foreigners never even bothered to enter US east.
