A lot of people can understand the game and what builds you need to use, very few have the actual speed to be able to turn that knowledge into WINS against other good players. I'll gladly try iccup as well, thanks for blindly doubting me!!! Lol, yeah. It's all about the handspeed.... Going to lay down a challenge here. I will beat you with less than 100 apm. On any map you like. As many times as you like. Over and over. I will be armed with only game knowledge, useless without your progamer like mechanics. You will be able to demonstrate to teamliquid that no matter how much people study and understand the game the better clickfester will overcome. After all, that knowledge alone isn't enough to get WINS vs good players like yourself. Accept?

Man, I haven't seriously been active till a month ago for 2ish years, and I'm not naive enough to say something like "all the current pros suck more than the old ones" the game is constantly evolving.

Guys, I just want to mention that I love TL and this is a prime example of why.

Although I don't know the personality of testis when he was a hacker... Thats not realy the point, but the fact that he came so arrogantly to criticize the new strategies and players without actually proving himself, what he is trying to do now.. with not so good results. .__. SaddleS, you should really consider watching some Proleague/MSL/OSL matches on the YouTube account of Nevake or dl them from the TL.net tracker to see how much the game has evolved on the Pro level. Believe it or not.. queens and valkyries are actually not that rare today!

Although I don't know the personality of testis when he was a hacker... I agree with this so much. Seems to me all of the young bloods who are newer to the scene, who don't even know of NookS, NerO, Saddles, JulloPud, are questioning him if he is even good at starcraft. There was a debate maybe a year ago, about if a top tier foreigner could beat a progamer from the 2001-2002 ages. And it was eventually decided that the answer is no, the skill level hasn't changed that much, there's just a lot more people who have been able to get onto that amazing level. As much as people want to say, Starcraft really hasn't changed that much. There was still 2 factory pushes, there was fast expansions, the game really hasn't changed much. Sure there is a vast amount of new players, newer pros, but that doesn't mean that the top tier players from a few years earlier haven't just been surpassed insanely. They just lose a lot of interest. In the time of Saddles and NerO, they were considered some of the top players in the United States. Everyone who competed competitively, even in 2005 knew of these players. During the time of Saddles, the top Canadian player was Fayth, and Testie was some UsEast hacker. I'm guessing this is when Saddles left the scene. If he left at that time, don't go jump on a bandwagon saying he is a fool, just because Testie was a great player a year or two ago. I remember hearing stories of a preliminary match in 2004 when Testie showed up to WCG LAN and had his keyboard unplugged from a computer and just spammed his hotkeys while waiting for a game. He ended up winning the match, and everyone was surprised because he was a known hacker. Much like Dino beating iNControl this year in WCG Regionals. Do I think Saddles is a great player? I know he used to, if he practiced a lot and got back into his old condition, I believe he could reclaim being one of the best in the United States within a month.
