Check cnn.com on the politics video.

She appeared to clarify the statement about attacking pakistan with katie couric, and McCain was next to her like a daddy taking care of his baby doughter.

Ridiculous.

Its amusing how people are scared of Palin becoming presidet... I mean... don't you already have a Palin-like president? It can't be worst than Bush right now right? Right? I hope so

Shes bush but twice as stupid and twice as rigtheous crusader.

It would probably be better to have the pope as president.

Either way, McCain scares the shit out of me, especially his behavior the last couple of weeks. He seems like he's one bad Mexican meal away from full-scale nuclear war with Micronesia.

Which would be a big problem since I'm in New York.

Sorry for not being very active in thread lately, I had a big test. Will post more later.

So why can't more campaign ads be like this:

Instead of "so and so is the reincarnation of Hitler and Godzilla." It's always a refreshing change =p

Really refreshing.
Man, I want an Obama in my country.
Social Justice is a fools errand. May all the adherents at its church be thwarted. Of all the religions I have come across, it is by far the most detestable.

Seconded.

EDIT: LoL, my second was to the quoted statement and NOT to:

Just a clarification.

Let's contrast this most recent ad with McCain's new one that also came out today:

McCain Ad

My favorite part is the headline that flashes up in the ad at 0:06 saying he "pushed for stronger regulation"... it's from LAST WEEK. Crap, ANYONE can push for stronger regulation when the financial system is melting down. It's a sign of how wrong McCain has been for how long that they couldn't find any other instance where he was coming out for more market regulation.

What a tool.

That's the thing, it CAN actually get worse . The current president of USA is a disaster. In terms of everything. But Palin? Well, Bush >>>>>>> the bitch.

Alot of people do. Outside the us, Obama would Win this election with a landslide victory.

yea I totally agree with that. in canada and most of europe, Obama would get elect with more than 75%...I guess you must be american to think McCain/Palin is the right choice.

The choice between the two is obvious for pretty much any non-American, but why are there always only two viable candidates?

EDIT: Oops I missed the word "only" and hadn't watched your clip yet. My bad. But I will still leave my post here even though it doesn't address your question.

Because America as a whole is much more conservative than it would appear from this site, and MUCH more conservative than most of the other developed countries.

In fact, recent history has shown the more conservative candidate winning most of the time (I'm talking the last 50 years).

Also, several people have stated that Obama would win in a landslide in their country, but in reality, he would probably lose to more liberal candidate. Obama is still pretty conservative compared to the world's standard.

This is only true if terrorists in Pakistan only do terrorist acts in Pakistan. If you let someone stay in your house and shoot bullets at my house across the street, then I have a problem with you, not just the man pulling the trigger.

Another thing I don't like is that people get mad when the US does anything to protect itself (or its interests, or anything else), but as soon as something bad happens in the world, the US is supposed to do something to fix it.

Genocide in Kosovo or Darfur, Russian attack on Ossetia, pirates anywhere, nuclear proliferation, humanitarian crises, or whatever.

We are expected to take on the responsibility of the world and yet NOT try to look after ourselves.

BTW, I wanna know what people think:

Poll: Should congress have passed that last version of the bailout?
(Vote): Yes, action is needed fast.
(Vote): No, it was too flawed.
(Vote): I have no idea or opinion.

I just like to keep you guys on your toes and a little bit worried. I don't want anyone getting comfortable

+ Show Spoiler +
New ABC News/Washington Post national poll conducted after the debate (Sept 27-29) shows that John McCain has picked up 5 points on Barack Obama during the last week, moving from a nine-point deficit to trailing by four:

Obama 50 (-2 vs. last poll Sept 19-22)
McCain 46 (+3)

Obama leads by 4.8% in the RCP National Average.

According to the poll, McCain has regained the lead among key swing groups: Independents favor McCain by 3 (48-45), white women by 11 (54-43), and white Catholics by one (47-46). McCain is still holding on to 20% of Democrats who voted for Hillary Clinton in the primaries, while 70% are supporting Obama.
