The American electoral system is a "better of two evils" type of system. The time to vote ideologically is here and now. It's what we're doing. In the general election, its the height of privilege and arrogance to refuse to vote or to vote for a useless 3rd party candidate so that you can feel smug by staying ideologically "pure". In reality, people's lives would be measurably better by electing Biden over Trump, even if they would be even better if we elected Sanders. It feels like voting for Biden is voting for Ronald Reagan vs Donald Trump... I hate everything about that. Biden is a terrible excuse for a progressive, but he's definitely not anywhere near Reagan conservative. | ||

And to borrow a quote about what pisses me off about these milquetoast moderate candidates from a NC primary voter on the subject of Biden, "what does he even stand for? Zero." from NPRs primary coverage while I'm dicking around in my car. These guys have no beliefs or values that I can see. What does a Biden presidency look like? Cowtowing to Republicans and disenfranchising young people who don't give two shits about the next old white douche to sit in a round room. Hillary had the novelty of the First Woman President thing and that still wasn't enough to get people to care, what does Biden have? | ||
