I guess that was pure sarcasm from skew, though. Okey guys. I think one thing is for sure : Artosis overrates himself pretty much. Actually Artosis is no where close near the top 20 of non korean gamers. Thats simply a fact. I dont care if u agree, but Artosis is by far not as good as some think and especially him..
2nd Testie is not as arrogant as he used to be. Actually i think testie is one of the people who know better how hard it is to do good in pro gaming and i m pretty sure he even knows he probably wouldnt do much in korea. And he himself should now best how impossible it is to do good in korea if you are playing random. Absolutely impossible. I mean.. these guys try to master one race .. A random player .. omg n/c..
3rd rekruls post wasnt thaaat much about testie. But much more about the general issue with stupid foreigners thinking they are close to the koreans.. ect..( at least i think so )
the media guys are indeed a bit strange at first sight, but actually.. they are nice guys . I played skew once in esl league.. at first he flamed me after i raped him ( i would lose 7 out of 10 games vs him but in that game i raped him ). So he basicaly downtalked me, said i was noob ect.. then we talked more and we actually played a bit and came a long good. So at least Skew is a nice guy , imho..
Artosis is kinda strange, though. Example ? I make random challange at ESL league, i get artosis at opponent. Log on battle net, then i get a call. I have to go away asap. I write him that i have to go. What does he say ? You are just afraid u fucking chobo. I'm like wtf. Is he sooo confident ? Like.. i beat much better players than artosis ( lost more for sure.. )..
Ok but all in all : Idra and Skew might look arrogant in the first place.. but actually they are cool guys..

Numbers do matter, which is why Russia will always have an excess of top Chess players for example - Russia has around 1 million competitive Chess players, more than the rest of the world put together. Foreigners are for the most part all spread out across the world, each one pretty isolated, and some good players for years only had themselves and their home computers before they actually got to see other skilled players game live or do some LAN practice.
Why does this make a difference on the internet?
You can see their hand movements, in chess I'm guessing face expressions and what their eyes are looking at. You can learn a lot more when you see players play even with first person replay you cant actually see them play. It helps out a little bit more.

My friend dancefayedance beat Artosis in a bo5 3-2 supposedly. My friend isn't that good and he was boasting about it for ages. He also said he has the reps but I don't know, needless to say I would wonder on Artosis' reaction to losing 2-3 to some random person. =P

#Servolisk You can learn more StarCraft, five times faster, in a PC bang in Korean with your real life friends than you will ever learn on your own at home alone. The shared enthusiasm, the friends, the hands on experience, starting StarCraft straight up with hotkeys, i.e from the first weeks, rather than figuring them out a few months/years later, daily tournaments you know no one is hacking etc.. you know yourself how much map-hacking ruins the competitive environment for new players, in a LAN environment you can chose to be free of this negative influence; you can practice ruses and tactics based on deceit, adding clever and freedom to your game play. Micro too is tougher with no latency, and thus pushing you for real speed. Community influence is also much stronger if you are living it offline, not only online. I won't even go into StarCraft tourneys on TV for years before we ever got them. Hope that answers your question. Tried my best.

i dont have anything against anyone but ill say it as i see it
1.testie you have self-esteem issues when u lose, for example when u loss to lamer i think in fbl then made a sm match with odin to prove to whoever that ur still good or w/e and when u loss to squall and started provoking him on the esl thread and dont say you dont act like ur a bw god or somethin cus u always do even tho i respect you for always going on tl-west and playing with everyone (we could also add in you not playing in tc a because maybe you think ur too good for us or somethin)
2.rekrul you made this thread because you need attention and for someone who hasnt done shit in korea aswell you talk alot and you might be a bit jealous of some of the players popularity, you shouldnt have made a thread like this and it shows how much of a low class player you are and for someone who isnt involved in the scene you sure do act like you know alot but you still accomplished way more things then most bw players so i respect for that but i dont respect your mouth

My mouth is the truth and I have many times admitted I suck/sucked. I accomplished nothing as a SC player and this thread has nothing to do with my starcraft skill level. I do know everything about starcraft progaming, actually.

I think it's insanely unfair, to even try comparing Testie's current behaviour, to that of the insanely incoherent nonsense produced by every single team Media member. Testie might be bragging and acting somewhat "superior" indirectly; but honestly you cannot possibly compare that to the consistant idiocy that is the unmistakable result of even trying to play a single game with a Media member.
In particular I'd like to list Artosis, Chunjae and Idra as complete degenerates; every single time they lose, they whine like schoolgirls for hours on end. It's completely insufferable, why ANYONE would even somewhat praise idra's behaviour compared to the rest is also beyond comprehension - Does he act differently when losing to good players, compared to when he loses to "bad newbies that can only beat him in x y z matchup" ? Give me a fucking break.

when i said scene i meant foreigner scene not progaming

Actually there are a few kind of players.
Testie / Idra / ect.. = Good/gosu players overrating themselves; Searching excuses when they lose ect..
Mondi/Sen/ect.. = Good/gosu players always downtalking themselves and saying they '' suck '' ; Giving reasons why they won, how lucky they were and that they find the opponent better ( like they always say i was lucky there and there.. and ect..
Artosis & others = Mediocre / okey players who think they are gosus and always cry if they lose..
FiSheYe = god

phil why do u give others a bad rep. if you dont know shit, idra never overates himself he's like one of the only players who always accepts games and plays with anyone but he does go crazy when he loses like the other american terrans

I am an attention whore, and I admit this openly. I also was a cocky newbie BW player. This is why I'm able to look at these kids and see the obvious idiocy of the way lotta foreigners act. I just want them to admit that they suck at starcraft and will never amount to anything (I believe a few foreigners, Draco/Testie do have potential to possibly accomplish something in Korea with a lot of practice and a lot of luck...despite attacking their characters in my post)
Is that too much to ask?

Going crazy when u lose has some relation to overrating, though hasnt it ? And if u like i can edit the overrating part for idra.. but the rest is basicaly true.. and anyway as if this was a total serious post of me..

rofl this just made my day. rek has so much anger in him

if anyone else posted a thread like this ... -_-;: no its not because you have style and class its because you're living in Korea (by the way you too are a foreigner do you have any pride?) that they let you post this.
Why would you ever attack leg like that? He didn't suck at all I think that once a foreigner actually makes it to korea into a korean team they have the capability to become great. Fine there weren't that many of them but look at warcraft... is the best player korean? Maybe its a complete matter of opinion between grubby tod sase moon fov etc. Retarded post white men can jump.

Yea.. I was fucking with him. Good comeback, dip shit.

lol, I agree that koreans > foreigners .... when it comes down to it most ppl who play starcraft and are foreigners whine like shit when they lose... just look at clan X17 possibly the most active foreigner channel, that channel depicts how things really are, and when ppl go on west they just put on there 'semi GM face' and dont curse ppl out as much.
But theres no point telling the best foreigners to stop acting cocky, because, they are in fact, the best foireigners even if that is newbie compared to koreans.

Didnt really get what testie wanted to show us with that screen, too. Obviously it was pure sarcasm and nothing else..

I love the discussion going on over at GG.net about this topic.

if the thread was made other than admins, it would have been automatic ban.
