At least then Ret would be good
Equality promotes shitty gameplay and is currently garbage compared to the other two talents in the tier (which are both dull passives)
But Kalgan is gonna defend it because fuk ret deal with it nerds and people are gonna jump on that as an opportunity to soapbox about fuck hardcore players

Why did Tigole ever had to leave and work 7 years on a game that got ditched. At least we can keep reading GC's tweets on mmoc frontpage still.
Kalgan probably has the words to the ground baby posted above his desk so there isn't a day where he accidentally could make ret fun and viable again.

Travelling was a pain indeed though, you could finish Un'goro in 2 laps of the area but had to go back and forth between Gadgetzan in Tanaris and Org/Darnassus to turn in the quests.
What I believe many people don't realize was that you had to travel a ton to level efficiently. As Horde, 20-30 was a ping-pong between Ashenvale, Stonetalon (and associated quests from Ratchet, ugh), Hillsbrad then back to Ashenvale (and laps around Org/Undercity to pick up more quests, yay). Fortunately it also meant you could be efficient by taking breaks on flight paths. Spend 6-8 mins auto-running to the far end of Ashenvale, spend another 15-20 mins killing Naga and other assorted creatures, take a small break while on the flight path back to Org where you turn in quests.
Personally I could get through all that in about 3-4 days for 1-58, then another 3ish days for Outlands and Northrend. Heirlooms also helped a ton (especially weapons, as melee live and die by them and spell damage weapons were very rare in pre-TBC content).
Pre 2.3 was pure pain on the other hand. Only leveled one character in that time frame, my very first one so it took extra long as I learned the game. Took me an almost and entire summer break to get to cap. You pretty much had to do each and every quest in the game (and I'm not exaggerating, even those ridiculous ones in Desloace or Blasted Lands) AND grind a few levels every now and then (or find groups for instances). At least post 2.3 you could skip a few zones. Early TBC was not far off either, you had to clean every zone if you wanted to leave most of Shadowmoon and Netherstorm for lvl 70 (so you get extra gold from quests to afford 5k for epic flying). this post brought up sooo many cool memories <3

The clusterfuck that is Ret's talent tree is amazing. Randomly changes abilities around each build, rework some, revert some, etc. Mastery is now literally just Arms, with Judgment and Colossus Smash going the way of Enrage to have duration reduced by Haste because muhbreakpoints
good shit blizzard

I honestly can't evaluate Affliction until I play a bit of it given how radically different it is...this UA change is either really good or really horrible and I can't decide yet.

Does Archimonde drops his mounts in heroic mode or only mythic ?

Oh ok. I bought an archimonde run for the mount and i had a collegue saying that there's no mount in heroic, only mythic. I'm reassured :p
Thank you.

Destruction looks horrific in Legion. You have to respec every single fight because all the DPS talent trees have different talents for AoE or for single target that almost all used to be base. The mastery is a clusterfuck that, sure, balances out in the long run, but the randomness for any single pull on a single encounter could be up to a 10% difference in overall DPS just down to luck. That's not even including that most Soul Shards are generated randomly through the refund talent or Immolate ticks.
Maybe the Artifact fixes everything, but I doubt it.

Confirmed content drought a month longer than MOP even though WOD was 2 tiers long.
|
why do people complain about content drought? just unsub until the new expansion hits, resub, play for a month or two, unsub and rinse and repeat? Nobody is holding a gun to your head forcing you to continue subscription through the content drought.

Because a 14 month into 7 months of content into a 15 month drought is beyond ludicrous

I mean if you finished 7 months of contents in 7 months then I don't see a reason to continue subscription for the 8th month. If there is no reason to play for the next 15 month then, by all means, unsub and go play some other games. There are so many other choices out there.

Because people want content. This isn't about subs. Literally no one is saying, "I sure hate how I needlessly spend money on a sub for 9 months during content drought".
Blizzard has been promising since the end of WotLK to do a better job with content pacing/planning for expansions, and very specifically promised not to pull another SoO in WoD. They have, predictably, failed once again to do this, but despite lots and lots of us seeing it coming miles away it's still disappointing.

This is a terrible mindset. Way to let Blizzard walk all over your wallet. Criticism is always good. Or do you want Legion to be WoD 2.0?

Yeah August 30th is... way later then it ever should have been. Yes its easy enough to unsub if you want to but the wait should never be that long in the first place.

Especially weird because the release was listed as on or before august 31'st IIRC - it paints the picture of "well fuck, we can't get ready for release in time so we'll fix as much as we can before we have no choice but to ship whatever we have"

Brewmaster and Mistweaver got majorly changed for the worse.
Right now my Brewmaster does little damage, no healing, and basically has to rely entirely on a healer in Legion to survive. Like I have nothing to do because there is so little I can do to survive outside of press my buttons when they come off cooldown. Rotation is clunky and my damage is so sparse it takes forever to kill things.
Mistweaver is also very weird in that half our spells will eventually not work because they don't interact with out mastery (which is a really boring one anyway, just adds healing to your direct heals? Talk about not being much of a mastery lol). Also most of our talents are just not worth it, or just not fun. I also played a resto shaman to see their artifact quest line and wow, like 4 of their talent rows are 2-3 minute cooldowns. I have more cooldowns for the resto shaman than my mistweaver has heals. It's insane, I can't see them not being possibly the best healer come Legion with their talents atm. Even Riptide (their instant cast heal + Hot) does more healing up front, and then more healing over time than our renewing mist. It's kinda feels bad when I go from having a lot of fun on live to super boring on Alpha =/.
They have a lot of work to do for some of the classes before August 30th.
