With the horde the Zandalari storyline was decent. Vulpera are fucking adorable. Blood trolls and Sethrak are cool enemies. I guess it helps that horde got the first raid too.
Alliance has what? Some creepy mansion and the Tidesages. I enjoyed the alliance storyline immensely tbh .. The lack of raid significance aside all of the questlines are great and had a flavour to them that I enjoyed. The Jaina storyline was also quite enjoyable, even if it was a bit melodramatic. And naturally the storylines will continue with the content patches, dont seee why they would continue it right away and Im pretty ok with that aswell. I could just as easily say that the Zandalari storyline is the same old trolls in dino land theme that weve seen 12312x times before. trolls that stand straight ... whatta winner.. Blood trolls are disgusting, their region is a shitty swamp and I find nothing appealing about playing against bizaro Cobra commanders in the most bare and lazly designed zone I have seen since Tanaris.. but, I wont say that because I dont believe any of those things, in essence though its the same comment you just made about Alliance which is rather unfair. Also Can confirm laser matrix pulling shit through walls in the 11 Waycrest I just did.. got the shitty balcony to triad route aswell sadface. You could feel free to say any of that though if it was your opinion. The same way I had an opinion and I stated it. I agree just simply saying “x is bad” can be unfair, but this isn’t really the place where I’m going to feel inclined to write a dissertation every time I post something that could be disputed. I think the Alliance storyline was crap. The Horde storyline was also slightly less crap. Deal with it Your opinion is crap . Both storylines are acceptable to good. Sweeping opinions without atleast some effort are not really worth sharing. Even if you are free to share them doesnt always make it a good choice. Depending on when/where/why/etc the opinion was stated I could either completely agree or disagree with that. In the context of this thread I personally think it’s completely fine. This thread isn’t a highly in depth intellectual discussion, so I (and others. Probably even yourself at times) may occasionally post one liners. People can start a discussion off those kind of posts tbh so they aren’t fully without value.
Or people will just read it and move on with no harm done.
Really comes down to how seriously you take this thread. I see it as a group of friends just discussing wow. Some times you make statements to your friends. You don’t always have to really have a major point to speak.
TLDR: don’t always be so serious. Unless you want to be which is cool too.

My groups have had a lot of issues with teleporting mobs / players being teleported to mobs in m+. Like, one guy can taunt something and then run away, but 10 seconds later our healer will get teleported 50 yards away through walls into melee range of the mob that was being kited out. Why does that happen? I don't remember enemies having the power to teleport players to them across arbitrary range/LOS in Legion! Mobs teleport you when they cannot reach their aggro target. I'm going to guess your tank taunted and ran away without building a bunch of threat so healing draw aggro, mob can't find a patch to the healer so teleports him to itself. Could be a problem with the area being designed/coded wrong to not have a path or just standing in a bad spot.
It happens all of the time on Havoc/veng even if you're by yourself, if you pull one mob while running back to a group then it can teleport you back to itself casting random shit at the entrance every 15 seconds and make it twice twice as long to get back to the party. In this case i guess our healer took aggro momentarily from heals so the game saw fit to teleport him through a wall which resulted in the tank dying on a pull that was otherwise under control.

Alliance still has half of their dialogue broken/missing in Uldir, the stuff explaining why we're there and what's going on. I know there's a bunch of buildup to underrot/uldir on horde side quests, what's the horde dialogue like inside of the raid?

8.1 supposedly has some large improvements to the dx12 implementation so as to make win10+dx12 the best config for playing WoW.
yes, and even more improvement if you do turn on the other 2 MT renderers. I saw a 25% increase in fps in boralus with all 4 on, cause it helps the most in areas that are cpu bound/bottlenecked, like boralus, alliance garrison, uldir
https://www.wowhead.com/news=287727/new-multithread-optimizations-coming-in-patch-8-1-tides-of-vengeance
I will take a good look at dx11/dx12 performance with this. Initial tests suggest ~23% performance gain relative to dx11. 23% is pretty great for engine perf gains!
On the Beta, Boralus had a shit ton of alliance guard NPC's standing in the docks doing nothing and i thought that they'd removed them come live, crediting it with a large performance gain. It turns out that ever since week 3(?) when the warfront got unlocked they came back and we have literally over 100 alliance guard NPC's standing around our boat which causes a greater performance drop across half of Boralus than this patch improves the engine perf% by. This is on top of it already being the worst performing city in the game, sometimes by a huge margin.
The WoW team also has ongoing issues with new raids and dungeons where they make overkill particle effects (such as the blood circles on the Zul trash) which cause lower spec PC's to slideshow and flagship PC's to drop to like 30fps if you pull a lot of them. These things will continue to be an issue because they happen due to developers not paying attention to the performance budget of the game. Performance as a whole seems to be a far lower priority to them than it used to, although i'm grateful for any significant improvement and excited to go benchmark it all out :D

Might be so. Druid discord says US 100% got it while some EU were confused.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
But that's amazing. I finally have a way to upgrade my 340 chest and shoulders that isn't a complete nightmare.

I think 368 and above gets 370. Wonder if 383 gets 385...

They specifically said up to 370, so i doubt it. I'm miles off 383-385 anyway :D

Last night I felt too sleepy to do anything engaging, but felt like playing WoW. Decided to give out some dungeon finder welfare. Tanked a couple normal dungeons where the top DPS besides me (DH tank) was like 2.5K. Cleared some dungeons in like 15 minutes, lmao.
Remembering back to when no one knew what to do and no one had gear anyway, I knew I was truly blessing some people's nights. Felt good.

My 366 Horde DK got the 370 emissary so I guess live for both now? Dunno about EU.

It's live on EU alliance now
I've done a bunch of islands recently, maybe 30 of em. At first i made 15k in an hour so i thought there might be some half decent $$$ farming transmogs but it seems highly random and/or still poorly understood; i got no drops for 90 mins one time, followed by a couple of drops worth 2k and 1k. It's a lot of work to do a 10 minute farm island for what seems to be a 20% drop chance of an item which may be worth anything. There are some items worth 300k in the pool but they're only available on certain weeks.
There is AP in farming, but the AP from islands when you're going for maximal loot is not actually very good because it takes longer and you're probably doing a lower difficulty.

One thing with the Azerite gear that i'm not sure has been thought through all that well is that the traits themselves scale with ilevel. From one POV that makes sense, it contributes to making 385 gear clearly stronger than 355 gear.
Looking at the system as a whole, i'm not sure that it's the right choice. Traits roughly double in impact between 325 gear and endgame BFA tier stuff.
That system leads to azerite traits being less impactful by design when we're in low gear, but that's also when we have slow gameplay due to a lack of secondary stats. Neither azerite nor secondaries like haste are contributing heavily to gameplay flow yet, whereas in high gear we'll have both of them contributing heavily which will make the difference in gameplay between different ilvls enormous.
We also have additional azerite scaling coming - season 2 gear will have an additional fourth row of azerite skills, so we'll have twice as many class specific / powerful azerite traits. With the traits also being much more powerful at higher item levels this could get out of hand.
At the very least we'd be expecting to see very slow gameplay at 325 and some pretty crazy stuff at ilvl 475.
It'll totally be possible to have 3 ranks of Furious Gaze (+54% haste for 12 seconds after finishing eye beam*) and then 3 more ranks of powerful abilities like one Revolving Blades, one Thirsting Blades and one Eyes of Rage to get each of their unique effects.
*That's extremely strong. Compare to the T21-4p which was x1.25x haste for 8 seconds! It's taking up half of your good azerite powers, but still. A single rank of the good Azerites will add damage like a tier 4 piece and we'll have six of them.
Would not surprise me at all to see some sort of azerite normalization down the road, maybe in 8.2. Lower ilvl azerite traits being more impactful, higher ilvl being less. It could be compensated somewhat with stats on the gear.

You are automatically in holy specc and you cant open shadows spellbook or click on shadow specialisation without wow error caused by "feature not implemented".
Major rework inc? ;D They changed it to this after there was a game crashing error for anybody trying to play Shadow because they had removed the Voidform spell.
