Is it a lot of work? Yes Is Brood War worth it? Not for me, perhaps for someone else though. Let me ask you this. So you're going to organize leagues/tours or not?

doesn't change my main point, if bw is just not worth your time, why are you still here trying to whore attention with how you totally would have raised the 38k you promised but didn't bother raising. why go to the bother of trying to get everyone to bow down and give you some love for a tournament you never intended to make.

Because I'm still creating a LAN with a prize pool equal to ISL3? Which stands as the biggest BW event in years... I really don't understand the confusion there, I can't host that if I'm not present on TL. Also, I'm laying down the foundation so that someone can pick up from where this one left off if the tournament is a success. Kiante... Do I have to spell everything out for you?

Not from Nation Wars, not from anywhere. Bash Bash Bash and never try to do anything that would involve work or a risk. Kiante ran the entire ThSL. He made it so that I, as a complete technophobe, just had to join a game and answer a Skype call. The same is true of the Gem League. As someone who has worked with him, I will honestly say that Kiante put in a ton of effort for both the original Gem League and the ThSL. With no expectation of a large audience, he woke up at six in the morning (again, to facilitate my not having to stay up too late). I was a total fucking primadonna and Kiante made everything work as well as he possibly could. Then, as though that weren't enough, I very much made it the running joke of both of those tournaments that, when there was downtime, I would poke fun at Kiante for being boring, raging, antipodean, or having a speech impediment. I've just been watching all of this unfold, and until now I think I've been pretty hands off because the truth is that I don't really know too much about tournaments or their operation. The reason I don't know too much about those things is because I never had to learn... because Kiante handled it all for me. You can sit here and say anything you want, but allow me to be the first to say, whole heartedly, "Kiante is a delight to work with." I'm sure Trozz and Torenhire would say the same thing.

Sad, that all this failed. Most ppl thought that Eywa was drawing dead from beginning. Really sad. I see that Eywa is a good guy, who wants to do good things, but spiritual immaturity ruined everything. I really do respect Eywa for all he wanted to do. But making announce w/o having money - is a sad way to go out.

You are not omniscient and you are not a god or a figure head, you have to actually TRY and PUT IN WORK AND TIME to help the scene, people are not going to just bow down to you, but as I expected you got what was coming, and you deserve it all. Best of luck and God speed eywa.... wake up.

I honestly don't know what to say to you, besides the fact that I don't know what you've been using your time on TL for in the last two years. It's a shame that on the eve of your two year anniversary here on Teamliquid you have still yet to figure out some of this community's most common thread archetypes.

From page 2 on gave me a lot of laughs however. On Topic: Seems like this guy just lost his credibility with the BW community and I think that's a big enough punishment. In his honor I will be holding a Dentures fundraiser that I have been collecting from the mouths of sleeping old celebrities. These rare dentures will now be auctioned off to more old people and the proceeds will go to a 300 person LAN where the finalist will 1v1 Rekrul in a best of 99 where resources are gained based on the number of BM and shit talking done to your opponent.

Is Brood War worth it? Not for me, perhaps for someone else though. That is all I need to understand to see what worth a person is. You lack passion within what you want to do. Please leave, and don't come back until you have your life straightened out first. You seem to lack social skills if you're expecting us to give you high regards for things you have planned out, yet have no drive to do. It is only an embarrassment to your online persona you wish to take when presenting yourself here.

Dredredre, as your co-organizer, I would like to comment that you forgot another important requirement for entry. You must be between 6'1" and 6'4" only, weight exactly 162lbs and we also need your credit card number, expiration date and security number so we can charge you your entry fee.

You could totally keep up on this, or this while you're at it. If THSL and all "this" didn't satisfy your foreign BW cravings, don't fret, you could catch up on this, this, this, this, or this. I may have forgotten some. However, if you're into the lower skilled players (I wouldn't blame you, they're more fun to watch if you wanna see crazy strategy), that's a whole other post of this's.

This is what I got out of it. 1. Some guy says that to get money to organise BW events, all you have to do is sell hockey cards to Canadian seniors every wekeend for a year. 2. but you need to spend a lot of time on sorting them first. 3. Everyone starts flaming the shit out of him. 4. Some Russians pop by with internal jokes. 5. Kiante heloped sirjolt at some other tourney. 6. More jokes with references to things I don't understand. 7. Hufflepuff gets 5 points. 8. Hockey card market is $$srs$$ $$bsns$$. 1 - 8: no Maths. I'm so confused.... ![]() Is it me behind the cards? "Some guy" aka Eywa, promised previously in the year to host and run a tournament in Europe called Euro Winter 2013, with a 38000 dollar prize pool. This is his explanation of where he is getting the money from. However, he also said when he made his announcement thread that he had the money, when he did not in fact have it at all. He also later said he would expand the tour into several Europe tours, while keeping the original one the same prizepool (I think) and also having even more money thrown at these other tours. Now he has cancelled all the tours, and is only sponsoring one tour for "only" a ~$3000 prizepool. While it's great that he is hosting the $1000 tour, everyone is flaming him because of his false promises. The Russian internal jokes I can't entirely explain :kidca: Kiante's a pretty cool dude, pity he's Australian :"33333 Hopefully that brings you somewhat up to speed.

Also, Kiante is Australian? I don't know if it is his monotoneness but I always thought he was from some sort of poor Eastern European country and English wasn't his first language.
